  1. Years since I took one back. I have memories of filling a car boot with them from the student flat I stayed in. Had to book a time slot at the Barr depot to drop them off. Paid for a few pints though
  2. The Record comes out for Jez... http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics/record-view-jeremy-corbyn-offers-6276844
  3. You've reminded me about Touching The Void, very powerful film.
  4. I mind watching the cricket and the BBC commentators calling the Pakistan team "the Pakis". I don't know if the offence was more that it was used as slang for anyone of south Asian origin and not just people from Pakistan?
  5. I remember the below scene from the Young Ones (1:27 into the clip). It was edited out of all the repeats of the episode (even the video release):-
  6. Surely one is just short for Pakistani?
  7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVEmcH-GTUg
  8. Great film. Although with technology as it is would they be able to get away with the conspiracy these days? At least it wouldn't have OJ Simpson in it...
  9. Given that Corbyn will be over 70 when the next election comes around there must be a fair chance it'll be his successor who fights that campaign anyway...
  10. Understand that, perhaps they could've set it off 10 miles from the coast though?
  11. He's a Socialist not a Unionist... http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/13609421.Corbyn__I_m_a_Socialist_not_a_Unionist/
  12. It's actually hard to disagree with both sides of the argument here. I think if I was Harry Truman I'd have got them to drop the bomb over the sea as a show of strength. That might have been enough to force a surrender without the horrific aftermath (although a resulting tsunami might have been fairly devastating too!)
  13. Without a doubt. Must've been one of the best loan deals ever in Scotland when Mixu brought him over
  14. Surprising lack of mentions for the Coens so far. Fargo and O Brother Where Art Thou, another couple of classics.
  15. Dave Milliband now warning people not to vote for JC. Will we get a headline where a senior Labour figure actually suggests he might not be all that bad?...
  16. Indeed. Was nearly greetin' listening to his victory speech...
  17. If Jamie MacDonald keeps up his early season form he'll be knocking at the door, but I agree Bain looks a sensational prospect
  18. Probably because he's a bankbench London MP thrust into the limelight by the sheer mediocrity of opposition to him. I doubt he's committed much thinking time to recent Scottish politics...
  19. The Thing was f***in terrifying! Couldn't watch it again for years
  20. She's a company director, not your usual golddigger demographic. (Cannae believe I'm sticking up for oor Andra so much!)
