I mind watching the cricket and the BBC commentators calling the Pakistan team "the Pakis". I don't know if the offence was more that it was used as slang for anyone of south Asian origin and not just people from Pakistan?

Great film. Although with technology as it is would they be able to get away with the conspiracy these days? At least it wouldn't have OJ Simpson in it...

It's actually hard to disagree with both sides of the argument here. I think if I was Harry Truman I'd have got them to drop the bomb over the sea as a show of strength. That might have been enough to force a surrender without the horrific aftermath (although a resulting tsunami might have been fairly devastating too!)
