  1. SNP both votes for me. Almost impossible for a tactical second vote to be effective. If you want an SNP government, then vote for it, simple as....
  2. Well, they will have to get rid of them somehow
  3. I didn't particularly want him to start with. Couldn't see the attraction, very poor management record. But a very good campaign run by his meeja pals soon got everyone thinking he was the messiah. Now, after possibly the worst campaign I have witnessed, I couldn't really care if he goes or stays. It won't matter a jot, we have the poorest pool of players for a long time, with no prospect of it getting better any time soon. The one thing that may be in his favour is that a bit of continuity might just help. I keep thinking we have hit rock-bottom. Hopefully, one of these days, I will be right.
  4. We have been here before, haven't we? We have went through spells where call-offs were the norm, I hope this isn't going to be the case next campaign. But maybe that sums us up now, a nation of fearties and quitters. Unable to put that extra bit of effort in when needed. Rather than bust a gut for the team, best to hold back. Terrified to take that extra step to achieve our goals. Unable to say "Yes, we can do this. Yes, we deserve to be there". I would rather they went across there for a couple of days in the sun, had a couple of beers, then went out and showed what they are capable of. I'm not sure introducing a load of youngsters will gets us anywhere near a solution. This game is dead, just let those who are willing have a lust hurrah. We won't actually learn anything by playing Gibraltar in a meaningless game. Let those who won't be around next time, have a chance to either put in a performance and give the fans a wave to say cheerio, to bring the curtain down on this sorry campaign.
  5. Have a look at this one, it's a refurb. Originally around £600 http://www.morgancomputers.co.uk/product_detail/15616/HP-Pavilion-15-6-Touch-Screen-AMD-Quad-Core-2-0Ghz-Laptop-8GB-1TB-DVD-RW-Webcam-Windows-8/
  6. Springsteen, Earls Court. OK, I'm joking, I didn't actually get there. Bought the tickets in February for the gig in May. Finished my contract early, decided to take the family to Cyprus. Standing on my balcony in Aya Napa when it suddenly dawned on me what date it was. Still have the unused tickets and look at them wistfully from time to time. Thankfully, have seen him few times. Even went twice on his last tour, San Siro and Hampden.
  7. Aye, that Germany game was my first ever. Crammed into the 'schoolboy' enclosure and swept of my feet when Murdoch equalised
  8. Simpson Gemmell McCreadie Greig McKinnon Baxter Wallace Bremner McCalliog Law Lennox A World Cup winner-beating line-up
  9. Agree Barca are capable of winning by 4, but 7/2 is very poor odds I would say.
  10. The whole thing just seems wrong. But we now have the Tories and I guess they will do what they want. So many of these facilities over the years get massive amount of public funds, which seem to end up flowing into private company coffers.
  11. Nothing like a good conspiracy theory, so how about this one? Do you think the Westminster government is creating it's own Real Madrid, by setting up West Ham in the Olympic Stadium? Real Madrid have been, allegedly, propped up over the years by the Spanish government in the shape of massive loan deals. Is there a chance that Westminster have the idea they can do the same?
  12. What's the story at the moment? Are the tickets on general sale or just to members? I haven't been a member for 4 years or so but still get emails from sfa, been on several times over the last 2 or 3 days and get told every time there are none available. Supposedly there are Lisbon Lion Lower and South Stand Front available but when I click Buy Tickets Now I get the no tickets message
  13. April 1969, West Germany at Hampden in a World Cup qualifier. 1-0 down for most of the game until Bobby Murdoch scored a cracker. Was on a school trip, over 100,000 and when the equaliser went in I experienced my first Hampden roar. of course it was the days of terracing and you just got carried off your feet when the crowd surged, absolutely epic. Strangely, or perhaps not, the SFA have the kick-off wrong on their website. They have it as a 3:00 kick-off but I remember it being at night.
  14. I'm on the Edinburgh flight to Poznan on Monday afternoon, travelling to Warsaw on Tuesday. Beers on Monday night anyone? Was talking to a couple of Polish guys who recommended the bus rather than the train to get to Warsaw. They didn't have a high opinion of Polish Railways. Any opinions on what's best?
  15. We can't seriously sing this song again, not in the immediate future anyway, it would be too painful. Of course the 45 could sing it to the 55, changing the first line to "Oh Cower of Scotland"
  16. Dear Ronnie, It's been a blast, but I think it's now time to part company. In light of recent events, I'm sure you'll agree, we need to find another way to express our pride (if we can ever find it again). All the best, Ali.
  17. By post: You can apply to vote by post. You will need to fill in an application form and send it to your local electoral registration office to arrive by 5pm on 3 September. You can get an application form here. Your local council can send postal ballot papers to your home address or to any other address that you give. Ballot papers can be sent overseas, but you need to think about whether you will have time to receive and return your ballot papers by 10pm on 18 September. You will be sent your ballot papers ahead of the poll. If they don’t arrive, you can get replacements from your local council up to 5pm on Thursday 18 September. By proxy: If you can’t go to the polling station and don’t wish to vote by post, you may be able to vote by proxy. This means allowing somebody you trust to vote on your behalf. You will need to fill in an application form and send it to your local electoral registration office to arrive by 5pm on 3 September. You can get an application form here. When you apply for a proxy vote you have to state why you cannot vote in person. Anyone can be your proxy as long as they will be aged 16 years or over on 18 September 2014 and are a British, Irish, other European Union or qualifying Commonwealth citizen. They must also be willing to vote on your behalf. You will have to tell them how you want to vote. - See more at: http://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk/the_independence_referendum/guide_to_voting.aspx#sthash.j6UzBt0Z.dpuf
