  1. Saw this posted over on the Irish lads forum, YBIG, has to be shared, it's just a wonderful of Taylor's generosity and goodwill:
  2. He'd be on 30+ caps if Levein was still in charge.
  3. If you think Dugdale is a fool wait until Anas Sarwar inevitably takes over from her. Then the comedy will really begin.
  4. One thing you have to give credit to Taylor for was documented in that film they (Channel 4 ?) made on his last few games as England manager. A couple of racist kunts in the crowd were yelling abuse at England's black players and Taylor furiously turned around from the game and laid into the racist scum.
  5. Ever since he was defeated last year in his bid to be the speaker at Holyrood, Fraser has went on the rampage with the OTT "I'm Her Majesties Most Loyal North British Subject" spiel online, in press and in the chamber at Holyrood. It's kind of sad really. A man proud of being a caricature. Doesn't he also hold the record for the most unsuccessful attempts to win a constituency seat at Holyrood ?
  6. I hope our chap Scout doesn't ever ask someone of Caribbean origin with a surname like Campbell, Fraser, Grant, MacDonald, MacGregor, Mackenzie etc "so was your granda Scottish then ?". It could result in a trip to A&E.
  7. Yes the manager is not up to the task but with the exception of a few young Scots, the players are a largely mediocre lot. I and others are not being negative - just realistic. There's only so much happy clapper "our players are underrated" naivety one can take.
  8. Looks like we're getting a friendly in before Slovenia at home. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38564701 Two questions then: Ideally, who should we be playing ? Realistically, who will we end up playing ? Luxembourg or Cyprus at Easter Road is my guess.
  9. Somebody call the polis ! The gers fans are being persecuted, poor wee lambs !
  10. Agree with the gist of your post there but in fairness to Corbyn it is bloody hard work leading an opposition where only about 15-20 of his own MPs genuinely support him and his aims.
  11. I think Wales and Ireland would probably pass on Brown and Fletcher. Marshall is a good keeper but so are Wayne Hennessey of Wales, Darren Randolph and Keiren Westwood of Ireland - in fact all four of the keepers mentioned are just as good as one another. Appreciate your trying to be positive about Scottish players but a bit of cold hearted realism is needed here too. We're really kidding ourselves on if we are thinking other nations envy our pool of players.
  12. Bale, Williams, Clark, Brady, Davies, Coleman and Hoolahan would walk into our starting XI. Keep kidding yourself on that we're a sleeping giant. We aren't. Hutton and Adam back in the team, dear oh dear.
  13. Hoolahan and Brady are very good players. Wales and Ireland would beat us at present. It's time to be honest with ourselves here. Our team is pish at present. It's painful for me to say but it's the truth, we are fecking awful.
  14. I'll have some of what your having. Name these Scottish mediocrities who are better than the likes of Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey, Ashley Williams and Ben Davies for Wales and Séamus Coleman, Shane Long, Ciaran Clark, Robbie Brady and Wes Hoolahan for Ireland ?
  15. Should we give Jason Cummings a couple of games up front soon ?
  16. Would a thrilling psychological drama about Perthshire farmers competing for the trophy at the annual ploughing championships - with plenty of sex, murder, cattle breeding, betrayal, greed, tweed jackets and welly boots thrown in - interest you ? With special guest appearances by Stevie Anderson and Tommy Wright naturally.
  17. My local newsagents stopped selling them last year. End of an era. Internet killed them off.
  18. As long as it's reasonably accurate historically, brings a few tourists over to spend their cash and gives some promotion of Gàidhlig then it's no bad thing really. Oh and Caitriona Balfe
  19. Well that's a bit of good news anyway Mid table aren't they ?
  20. Good, don't want him back. Always blindly blasting the ball up front as hard as he can, always out the park most of the time, can't make a three yard pass without giving it to the other team and is an appalling reckless tackler. Getting Stuart Armstrong and Ryan Gauld into the team this year is more important than giving yet another chance to yesterdays failures like Adam.
  21. Don't think O'Connor or Riordan really care. They've always been proud of being top neds.
  22. I agree. But unfortunately we're still dealing with this guy ............
