    Czech game

Aye, like there is not enough pressure on πŸ™„ We actually used to be good under pressure. We have even lost that.

    Czech game

The game seems to be on. David Tanner on Twitter saying β€˜his sourcesβ€˜ say the Czech TA will try to field a reserve team. Tbh, based on our performance last night the Czech team could field their maws and still beat us.
  4. Can assure you all. In Walkabout, with sound sound down, makes this no less painful.
  5. I rarely hear it but my husband rarely misses it. Funnily enough though I have heard it the last 2 days. I am one of these β€˜i know it ! I know it ! β€˜ people, who gets mad when the contestant gets there first. Truth is my memory is so bad I could be given to the end of the programme and still not get it. I had a wee laugh this morning when one of the contestants said she loved gigs and goes to see groups all the time and she was missing that in lockdown. Ken Bruce asked her what her favourite gig had been. β€˜Banarama β€˜ she said . β€˜ I have seen them 11 times. β€˜ I dont know what I was expecting but it wasn't that. πŸ˜‚
  6. For some reason I thought you lived in England πŸ€” Thats a bummer , though at least it wont be a hassle for work. If we had been there when this happened we would have just lived with my husbands unpaid leave. I spent a lot of time researching where to go and felt the hotel I had chosen was very safe. Masks and disposable gloves in the restaurants till you were at your seat. I am therefore not surprised to hear you say you feel safer . I was in a restaurant in my local village a few weeks ago. There was a β€˜one in one out’ for the loo. They had an engaged/vacant sign on the main door to the ladies . I went in and put the sign on and as I was washing my hands 2 young girls in their 20’s fell through the door absolutely steamin. They hadn’t even noticed the sign πŸ™„ I have just booked 3 nights in the UK. If St Andrews goes into lockdown next week I will go fookin mental 😑😁
  7. Dont think for one minute i am looking for sympathy, I was well aware and took a calculated risk due to how I am feeling at the moment. But I was working purely on infection numbers and I just want to reinforce to people that you just do not know what will happen so be very careful. Look at tonight for instance. England has not enforced isolation on travellers from Greece or Portugal and Scotland and Wales have.
  8. Just a word of advice for anyone tempted to travel abroad. I started 2 weeks holiday at the weekend . Recently I have found it both mentally and physically very difficult working from home , now for 6 months, and was tempted to book a holiday for some sun. I have monitored the 7 and 14 day cumulative infection numbers for the main European countries for 2 weeks and, after discounting a few places, on Tuesday evening at 6.30 pm I booked a holiday to Greece leaving tomorrow. Greece’s number was 13.7 and well below the 20 figure that has been used to assess the countries going on the isolation list. Two hours later that same night Greece are on β€˜ the list β€˜ πŸ™„ I spent the whole of Wednesday morning trying to contact Jet 2 . I finally got them and after some persuasion they pushed the holiday forward to next year as they were not offering refunds ( TUI were but they really were not required to ). They offered to change the holiday to Turkey next week, or some other country , but I was not taking the chance again. I wouldnt mind isolating on return as I am stuck in here every day anyway , but my husband would need to take unpaid leave . I knew the risks we faced if Greece’s number had gone sky high whilst we were away and isolation was introduced, but we were booking last minute , their number was at 13.7 , and it was only for a week. On balance I felt confident and genuinely thought that I had been sensible monitoring the infection levels and using the guidelines . The updates have always been on a Thursday with isolation rules starting on a Saturday morning. I thought that by travelling Friday-Friday I would be fine, I wasnt expecting a random Tuesday night update. I just want to reinforce to people the risks involved in travelling abroad. Don’t try and be smart like me, its really not worth it unless you really don't mind isolating on return. I was lucky and got the holiday changed as I had booked it less than 24 hrs before, the airline company allows amendments to be made free of charge in that timeframe. The differences between what is construed as government advice is pretty grey also. Because it was only the Scottish Government that introduced this isolation rule and not the UK government meant that the airlines were refusing to cancel the flights, thereby avoiding the need to offer refunds.
  9. I thought the clip she did about Aberdeen was very funny. As you say, whether people find it funny or not it captures what is actually going on. And no doubt what NS wishes she could say.
  10. I dont ever post in this section but that was truly magnificent to watch last night. What an example to set , and will do his confidence no harm whatsoever after all his injuries. It cheered me up after hearing Scotland imposed a 14 day quarantine on people travelling back from Greece, 2 hours after I booked a holiday to Greece leaving on Friday ...
  11. I caught a bit of the FM’s update yesterday. Whilst she didn't actually say it , she strongly suggested there will be no full lock down and any future spikes will be controlled by localised lock downs. She also confirmed the restrictions imposed could be different in each area , based on the circumstances.
  12. I have come to the conclusion that home working is not for me. At least not permanently. The upside of getting a bit longer in my bed is out weighted by the downsides. Despite running twice a week I feel really sluggish and my circulation is worse as I am just rolling from my bedroom to my living room. I need a routine that gets me moving instead of sitting on my arse at my desk eating biscuits all day. I am not very disciplined. Never thought I would say it but I cannot wait to see Scotrail again πŸš‚πŸš‚
  13. A bit of class, as I would expect from an inhabitant of Upper Kilmacolm 🦡🏽🦡🏽 I was more interested in the feather dusters the audience were waving. Ken Dodd must have been on next. What a racket. I just used the last of my paracetamol on Silver Bears tune. I may need to dip into the emergency stash of cocodomol. This thread is turning me to drugs.
  14. It could have been very different for Labour , but their bloody mindedness regarding the constitution has all but killed them in Scotland. They only have themselves to blame. I dont think the SNP can take things for granted though. PapofGlencoe is an example of a voter that could be won back, and from his postings on here comes across as clued up and balanced. As Scotlad says, he wont be alone , but I personally would not trust Labour on the constitution.
  15. Course I did. And I knew it was you. It made me laugh 😊
  16. I cant say too much in case it gives away the β€˜plot’ πŸ‘€
  17. I cant believe that anyone who is serious about Scottish Independence would trust a Labour party with a sudden crisis of conscience . The only way they will soften on independance is if they are desperate, and desperate people can be dangerous. They would be risking the unionist vote they still have, in the hope they pick up votes from the SNP. This is nothing to do with their policies, just a total distrust of them to be above board on their independence stance.
