All good here thanks. We’re off to the Weekender this weekend too. Got my sister and brother in law coming over for it.

First of all, the good news is you’re not competing with a big English game (only Cardiff v Fulham). The bad news is because it’s a Friday night, a lot of the pubs probably won’t want football on with the busy Friday night trade. At least not with the sound up anyway. Jimmy and I had this problem for the St. Mirren v Utd game in the Championship the other year. We ended up getting it in a pub called The Oxford but it’s a proper shithole. 

I’d recommend phoning round a few pubs and getting a commitment in advance, so you’re not running around at the last minute. Typical football watching pubs in town would be The Royal Yacht, The Lamplighter, The Office, The Soleil, Kitty O’Shea’s, The Earl Granville. Try phoning round those and if you get no joy let me know and I’ll see if I can think of anything else.
