He's a total c***. We all agree. But he was clearly fishing there for the weak yessers who feel the need to have a strong british army behind them in these tough times. Sturgeon didn't really convince with her answers because she was quite rightly cagey about mixing the beheading subject with indyref. Alexander didn't have much of a problem with it. -
Hostage Beheaded

A bit crass perhaps but they're already "at it" on sky news. That wee Imp Alexander is lapping up the chances to say "stronger together", "best armed forces in the world". Quite sickening. -

By the way, on that BBC report with all the no signs in the background a girl appeared with a yes sign and they actually cut the video stream and went back to the studio. Was hilarious! If anyone saw it and has a link... -

No but I saw a report on the Beeb and there were only no signs in the background so you're all clearly talking shite and good at Photoshop. -

It doesn't. It makes their numbers irrelevant. -

Yeah, imagine if there wasn't twitter/facebook? People would just suck it all up and believe it. i.e. believe that we're all useless dependent shite. Much like the state of mind of a lot of 65+ yr olds, who, incidentally, don't have access to twitter/facebook. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole net neutrality debate popped up again after this. It's simply not acceptable for the propaganda machines of the "worlds most influential countries" to be beaten or even just challenged like this. -

SENSATIONAL: No retakes the lead. Crushing blow for Salmond. Yes campaign faltering. Etc etc. The bias in the UK media in the last few days is actually beyond belief now. I'm not sure it even got that bad in the USSR. -
I don' think there was a bog *shudder*

Arrived late last night. All I saw was an alarming number of drunk wallopers. What the f**k happens to some of these guys as soon as they hit foreign territory? Anyway, can't beat them so need to join them!

So soon?? You can only assume that it's a 'corrector' funded by the daily mail with questions such as "do you agree that scotland should become the fat salmond pol pot republic of bananas?" -

If that kind of tactic is all they have left they're in a pretty bad place -
I know your type. I'm usually a few rows back observing your technique and thinking you're a jakeball. And feeling vaguely jealous.
-
Exactly, and even then I'll only take one because asking for a second feels extremely jakeballish (only people of British/Irish tend to do that). Sometimes on inter-european flights you feel like the jakeball for just requesting alcohol. Most people take a juice!

Postal Votes

Wouldn't be surprised if there were a suspicious number of spoiled votes amongst the postals. But of course we'll never know. A very useful tool for a worried government. -

It does smell like a BT spoiling tactic. Now if they do release a good poll from panelbase showing yes 2 points behind it'll be spun into a failure and deflate a lot of excitement and enthusiasm. -
Doesn't baffle me. They're selfish c**ts.

Orangies March Is Illegal
thewelk replied to Fred_Zeppelin's topic in Anything Goes - Other topics not covered elsewhere
I really hope it is allowed if only for the photos of angry looking people wrapped in union flags. Wouldn't be surprised if BT are the ones trying to get it stopped. -
Proof That We Are Run From London
thewelk replied to Ormond's topic in Anything Goes - Other topics not covered elsewhere
I know a no voting girl who works in London ('I don't want to be a foreigner') who is registered at her parents. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a lot of people in the same position. -

I've noticed that too. Since the Darling demolition debate the few unionists I have on facebook are 'so bored' of the debate and can't wait for it to end. One is one of the smartest people I know (I'm alright jack) one is a po-po from an orange background and one is a bucky drinking rangers fan. All saying the same thing. -
I think...you're basically being scanned in slices so the front of you is getting scanned before the back. Without turning the kilt you've got more metal in the scanned slice at one time so it passes a threshold and sets off the scanner. When you turn it, one buckle gets done before the other and the amount of metal at any one time is lower. In that case some of you will have a good metre between buckles so one buckle will be out of the scanner before the next one even comes in.

Some people seem to believe that bookmakers have an all seeing eye and know everything but in this case it's not true. When it comes to sport, sure, they're ahead of the game but that's because it's their bread and butter. But when it comes to bets like the referendum I think even people on here who have had their ear to the ground for the last 3 years are probably in a better place to judge it than the bookies are. I think the media bias is actually influencing the bookies a bit. That's why it's a bet where there's money to be made.
