  1. Those guys will be the ones at the euros too. And you can be sure that they won't have any problems showing up for that.
  2. My first game was 1990 v Argentina as a 9 year old. Can remember McKimmie scoring and the pipe band but not a lot else.
  3. No logic at all, just joking. It would just be hilarious if SNP held the balance of power in any way at Westminster.
  4. I'd like to see them be the 3rd party at Westminster and form a coalition government with the Tories.
  5. Not every city is equipped with a wee perfectly circular single route scalextric underground. So someone who doesn't know is perfectly entitled to ask questions. Actually, the advice of getting on at Buchanan street and going the 'wrong' way is probably the best because you get in before the crowds pick up and avoid the third world part of the route.
  6. I think you'll find it's VOLATILE and we should be grateful that Westminster are looking after it for us with their mighty financial sector down there to absorb the VOLATILITY shocks.
  7. They were convinced that they needed to know more. They heard "TOO MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS" 10 times a day for months. In reality there hasn't been an independence movement anywhere else in the world where so much detail was provided. Of course there was 'uncertainty' but there's uncertainty when you take a piss in the morning. Again, people (mostly the old) were proved to be gullible simple minded twats.
  8. I reckon you'd be getting closer to 300. But if you're hand luggage only, close to the front of the plane and leg it ahead of the sometimes really slow passport queue you'll probably even have time for a pint at Houston. Edit: actually, no. The pub won't be open...
  9. If you're getting in the taxi at 10, no problem at all. If the plane is landing at 10...good luck!
  10. The fact is that the yes challenge crumbled in the week before the vote due to an unprecedented barrage (in the western world) of fear, promises, lies and British pride from the in-pocket media. There's nothing the yes camp could have done about that except be 10 points ahead before it started. And they weren't.
  11. A bit late...but yeah, I'd book one and have the guy there ready to collect you at arrivals. Airport to Heuston is an awkward connection.
  12. They'll have no problem devolving it just before it runs out. Then the Scottish parliament will be responsible for the decommissioning. They might even give us independence by then.
  13. I'm a bit torn about this. The Germany game was maybe the last time any of us will sing that song with a real sense of meaning to it. Now it's always going to be a bit awkward at the 'rise now' bit of the song as we all look around suspiciously trying to figure out who the selfish cringer types are who didn't want to get rid of food banks or child poverty and who are fans of nuclear weapons.
  14. That would be brilliant to see him fall. Do you know if they're legally obliged to stand on the stage for the declaration of the votes? I think if they're not and the SNP have emerged ahead, Brown would be nowhere to be seen. So we wouldn't get our moment.
  15. I haven't really followed this closely but has Brown given a proper, vaguely challenging interview on the subject yet? The guy seems to be untouchable.
  16. Even after this incessant 'nicey niceyness' the media STILL made the old and gullible believe that YES was the nasty bullying campaign.
  17. I'm starting to think that man has never done anything that didn't bring him some personal gain. He's twisting the situation now to make Cameron/the Tories look like the bad guys. All a play for votes at the GE.
  18. They're usually a result of a tonsil infection, probably when you were younger. The tonsils got all swollen and f#cked up (I'm not a Dr) at some point leaving craters for shite to get caught up in and rot. Even if the craters are tiny they can still gather crap, a bit like the belly button gathers fluff. Not much you can do except get your tonsils (and maybe the adenoids too) removed but a lot of people keep it under control by cleaning their tonsils regularly. Not all doctors want to put you through surgery for that. Google "tonsiloliths" and you'll get a lot of info. It's one of those quite common problems that nobody ever talks about.
  19. I remember at about half 9 on the 18th I posted a link on here to an Italian newspaper that was reporting an exit poll of 55% yes in edinburgh. They weren't embargoed in Italy so were free to report it. Don't know where they were getting that info from but I think exit polls were actually being done by someone. I was quite surprised when I switched on sky news at 10 to hear that there were "no exit polls".
  20. Did the guy ever take a question from a real member of the public during the whole referendum campaign? All his speeches were in front of a compliant labour voting audience or selected media. Imagine if Salmond had tried that? C**ts.
  21. My dad voted no and he'll vote SNP next time. They do a decent job running the country in his opinion. FFS.
