  1. Shame he has died - not his acquaintance with Ferguson.
  2. Knew Glen personally., last time I met him was soon after he retired. He was looking forward to playing golf and spending more time enjoying the "gee gees". Shared many a conversation with him in Tote bookmakers, Bishopbriggs. He classed Alex Ferguson as a friend. Shame.
  3. Also a memorial to Shankly recently unveiled in Muirkirk. Looks poor.
  4. Too late, integral part of my life cycle. Dog racing, horse racing, football, cards and now Irish lottery. Every days a gambling opportunity except xmas [ worst day of the year]. Don't do gaming machines in bookies though.
  5. Aye- a glimpse of light between two periods of prolonged darkness.
  6. Watching video mmmm- nae wonder NHS under pressure.
  7. Agree- superb stadium now my number one. Nou Camp usurped.
  8. Successfully cut back from sat until wed. Never missed a round and my three fellow footsoldiers benefited from my occasional abstinence and half pint requests. Yes Ladbrokes tomorrow.
  9. I thought I had to refer to the steak pie thread. indeed odd post.
  10. Geneva? Verona?. Does that mean no more in depth discussions in the Horseshoe? Gone are the days of the Saturday afternoon and Friday night banter. My dodgy t-shirts and your double Highland Park.
  11. Utter nonsense, golf is not an elite sport in Scotland. Yes it has it's Royal Troon, Muirfield, St Andrews etc but it also has Barshaw, Deaconsbank, Lethamhill, Littlehill and Linn Park. Not too many "posh" on these Glasgow and district tracks.
  12. Rose top European 7/1. Unfortunately doubled with Bubble Watson who was cr*p. Small profit on single.
  13. Used to look at the saltire with pride and hope. Now? Symbol of defeat. Kilt? Packed away for good. Rugger? Used to enjoy. Cannot now as to me represents betrayal and " plastic jocks". The game is big in Edinburgh and Borders, now what a surprise that is!!!!!!
  14. In defence of Edinburgh could it possibly be that the city has the wealthy areas within it's city limits? The suburbs of Glasgow are outwith city boundaries and they voted similar to Edinburgh. East Dunbartonshire has Bearsden, Bishopbriggs, Lenzie and Milngavie. East Renfrew has Newton Mearns, Clarkston and Whitecraigs as examples.
  15. Financial sector- am sure in Europe Edinburgh is 9th largest and Glasgow 10th. Sorry cannot accept excuses like that- they need to own up to their selfishness as does Aberdeen. Yes voter who works in Glasgow Financial Sector.
  16. Stated this in many posts- shafted by our own. The comfortable in Bearsden, Newton Mearns, Morningside etc. Results show this.
  17. Well done to the young lass defending the Saltire, more guts than the Rangers apologists on here. Blind, blue eyes turning as per norm. Any gers fans arranging protest petition or similar?
  18. Anybody from Orkney follow the fitba- noticed Shetland TA never Orkney though.
  19. East Renfrewshire, East Dunbarton, Edinburgh, Aberdeen. Middle class areas, comfortable living they don't want their live style effected- couldna care about powers. Check their %age.
  20. That would come to about a hundred then? Sorry these people not for changing in a referendum. More powers not their main reason for no.
