I'm not too disheartened. I thought the first half was about the best we've played this year. The emergence of Connolly is amazing, what a find, considering that was only his fourth start. I was told by someone who knew Connolly and Robertson growing up that Connolly was the better player. Maybe an exaggeration but I can see why someone might say that. Some days the ball just doesn't go in and you get caught. That's football.

You're mis-reading the article. Goodwin was done for punching Stuart Armstrong after United released their own footage. There's nothing about United releasing footage of Goodwin elbowing Connolly. The only person with "previous" here is Goodwin. Must be time for a long ban, surely?
