  1. Accompanied the wife. Have to say I was never a fan and that was reinforced last night. Godawful they were. I'm sure it seemed very alternative and rebellious when they were teenagers but it just looked silly and sounded terrible last night. Thought I might enjoy it when I was there but was worse than I imagined. I've seen better bands for £3 in pubs in Kirkcaldy back in the day.
  2. Charlie Telfer looks a player by the way. Thanks for training him up for us.
  3. You could accept that these games against part-timers who won't earn in year from football what a Rangers sub does in a week, they are no-wins situations. Grind out the results and get on with it. Take the slagging when it goes wrong. Bragging is not an option.
  4. Aye, they were like the Last Night of the Proms. A strange country.
  5. What like is that Kindle Fire HD? I've a Sunday Herald subscription already. Might cancel and sign up again.
  6. I'm all for playing all the games at Celtic Park and turning Hampden into some kind of youth academy or whatever - as long as they put blue seats in....
  7. I dunno man. That was rockin' the night. The whole stadium stood for the last fifteen.
  8. I think it's just crazy enough to work. Does that mean that if, for instance, Riddoch stood in Caithness that the SNP wouldn't put up a candidate against her?
  9. Buck stops with the manager when you're papped oot the cup by a non-league team. He's just trying to deflect.
  10. So, who is taking the hit? Who was the money owed to and why is not owed any more? United's bank debt was bought out by "sympathetic local businessmen" along with the bank agreeing to take a share of future transfers for reducing the rest. The sales of Robertson and Gauld paid most of that back, but has somebody written off £14.49m here or have shareholdings been diluted to allow these new investors in?
  11. It's so obvious now you point it out... er.... ?
  12. Way more Scottish than Dicky Guff. Born in Sweden to a Scottish father and Swedish mother, grew up in South Africa, never lived in Scotland till United signed him when he was 18.
  13. I know. Born in Canada, played tennis for France. Go figure.
  14. Didn't realise he was actually English until just now...
  15. That was hateful. What about the killing, the dying, it was all done in vain? Did they forget about that bit?
  16. How about Keith Watson? Been an SPL regular for five years and still only 24. Paterson shouldn't be considered until he's lost that attempted moustache.
  17. Bidh Gaidhlig a' tighinn air ais tapadh leatsa.
  18. Was it not a marginal no in the Western Isles? There are a lot of English people moved up there, I'd imagine they largely voted no.
