  1. That's the first highlights I've seen. Hard to gauge when your at the game particularly if you've gone for the cheap seats at pitch level. Maloney was involved in pretty much all the opportunities and of course the goal.......
  2. You were very embarrassed by that? How do you manage to leave the house?
  3. Agree with pretty much all of this. We were about three rows up in the Copeland and pretty much at grass level and as you say, difficult to judge a lot of things but I thought we should have pushed Naismith up front to join Fletcher and then played Maloney behind them backd up by three midfielders (would have taken Anya off after 60 mins or so - he is suited to playing against teams who are not there solely to defend). I also thought Morrison was poor.
  4. That's like saying your favourite wine is buckfast or your favourite Star Wars movies are the pre-equels. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but by God..........
  5. Danny Alexander - is there a more loathsome politician? He made Darling look positive, interesting and patriotic........
  6. Best Bond film, and best Bond music - OHMSS. Not the best Bond of course but give me Lazenby ahead of raised eyebrow, Safari suited Moore any day......
  7. I find that time stops or sometimes goes backwards when the missus puts on cooking/reality programmes and Downton Abbey......
  8. To get a really good view into the bedrooms, I've always preferred a telescope.
  9. The Tories are just being Tories. Save your wrath for Labour who still try and pass themselves off as the working man's party..........
  10. What actual talent do guys like Fox and DLT possess that enables them to earn so much money? Just going by the basis of the size of their houses.......
  11. So why is the man who led the charge on it and promised it before the referendum asking for a petition to be signed? One promise already pretty much ignored and the lapdogs salivating at the next set of promises. Unbelievable.
  12. You do realise what FoS is about? You also do realise that the referendum was a possible once in a lifetime opportunity? If so on both counts, you clearly didn't have much of a vested interest in the outcome regardless of your vote. You sing FoS with no hint of embarrassment till your heart's content. I certainly won't be.
  13. Even if only one sap was swayed by the vow, Brown, on the back of the Three Amigos charging up to Scotland to give their undertaking, said it was set in stone. As such he, and the majority of Westminster politicians and their cronies, were willing to say absolutey anything if they thought it could secure the desired outcome. What pitiful levels of desperation to preserve their beloved Union, political parties and their own jobs..........
  14. Filed under Scotland politics. An utter and unashamed lie by three Westminster leaders who had no intention of honouring the "vow". People in other countries have taken to the street for less. I'm fizzin. And as for Brown........
  15. You clearly didn't really understand the significance of the referendum.........
  16. I don't understand the tone on here. Brown is merely asking us to sign a petition to ensure the three party leaders' pre-referndum vow, that he and Alasdair Darling fully and comprehensively endorsed at the time, is delivered. He could not have envisaged that on getting a No vote each of the parties would them immediately backtrack and play politics against one another as they jockey for election position. How could a hardworking backbench politician doing his best for the Scottish people (and not the UK Labour Party as some have suggested) know after a lifetime in politics that politicians would be so duplicitous?
  17. As said earlier - Strachan gave Boyd a recall last year and Rhodes made Strachan's earlier squads so I don't buy the "striker type" argument. I get players could have been called up into early squads for a close viewing and also that Strachan may have been developing a system but to suggest we will only play one way regardless of the opposition with one style of player does Strachan a dis-service in my opinion........
  18. Just had a gander. About fifteen separate threads have been started about that game and the manager. Their admin should consolidate them all and help tidy their forum up a wee bit.
  19. Gauld is playing regularly in the Portuguese second division - he's not sat on the bench or playing in a league solely for reserves. Admittedly he's not a Sporting first team player in the top division but I would say his set-up can't be directly compared to young SPFL players who are or were in the squad.
  20. Rhodes is a younger, fitter, more ambitious version of Kris Boyd. Strachan called up Boyd last year so it's perplexing why Rhodes is now constantly overlooked. In saying that, I believe Rhodes pulled out of the squad that Boyd was subsequently called up into - wonder if that is the issue and if Rhodes has been named in a squad since?
