  1. You do know that wiki is sourced? Therefore if using it as a reference and you are satisfied with the bona fides of the source, it is reasonable to use. So suggesting to not EVER use it implies you don't really understand how it works. And Wales is a principality, Northern Ireland is a province, and McGeady a fandan. Job done.
  2. You live in Glasgow? And you witness sectarianism on a daily basis? That's some going. I also live in Glasgow and haven't personally witnessed any sectarian behaviour or abuse for years. Maybe it's the people you mix with?
  3. I had a dream that I woke up on Saturday morning not knowing the score and ran to the newsagent to look at a back page. The headline ran 2 nil Scotland. I don't why I didn't lift up an iPad or turn the telly on. To my shame I also appear to have picked up a tabloid and not a broadsheet. Anyway I remembered the dream and consider that will be the scoreline. If it proves correct I will consider going into the physic business - though am not sure how well my only other memorable and recurring dream of brakes not working when driving will hold up. Anyone mentioned this on the recurring dream thread yet?
  4. Obviously. "And obviously I was desperate to sign"; " obviously it is a great honour for me"; Footballers apparently appear to think that we know every detail of their life ahead of the interview.
  5. It's a U.S. tv show and the official title of what has elapsed is The Leftovers Season 1. If it were a UK produced tv show it would be The Leftovers Series 1. Simples.
  6. I enjoyed the premise but the execution was ponderous in places. It is clearly designed that way, but thought season 1 could have been condensed into half the number of episodes. Still looking forward to Season 2 mind you........
  7. Interesting. With the obvious exception of the castle and Parliament, what do you feel Edinburgh offers that Glasgow doesn't?
  8. Out of any lager, you would choose Stella? That is mental and is by far the most upsetting thing I have read on this thread........
  9. Am not sure if it is tongue or cheek or an attempt to be tongue in cheek whilst also throwing about bitter insinuations. Whatever the tone of the article is, I like the way that the columnist implies that everything in Scotland is now seen through the prism of the referndum whilst he assesses that a shite BBC Saturday night TV show has been influenced by the outcome of the referndum. Tenuous at the very least and a "whoosh" moment if ever there was one.
  10. Souness was short-listed and interviewed. Think at same time as Tommy Burns. Went to Burley I think.
  11. Folks who negotiate airport security as if it is the first time ever they have ever encountered it. " my belt as well?" Women who after packing and nattering at checkout, decide to rummage through their bag to try and find their purse. What you were caught off guard for the need to conclude the transaction with payment?
  12. I know these are essentially fishin trips but you seem to spend your days watching Scotland games in xenophobic pubs. And you clarified before that "dog" in your eyes was a nickname for Dailly. He didn't play in that game.......
  13. Common knowledge implies that everyone is routinely aware of the situation. However you would seem to be the only person aware of a falling out - unless you mean "Rhodes fell out with Strachan, I don't know this for sure but it would seem the most obvious explanation for his continuing exclusion from the squad".
  14. If you ever have the misfortune to catch with weekly morning Radio Scotland show you would think someone was taking the pish if they told you he was a comedian. Inane doesn't even come close - in between talking about baking cakes he refers to "gigs" he has done and you wonder how torturous his stand up routine must be.............
  15. In terms of importance, the Ireland game must be up there as our biggest home game since Italy 2007. Rather bizarre given we are only just three games in and doing reasonably well. Normally these games are to keep us in contention after a faltering start or at the end of the campaign. Netherlands at home under Burley maybe third to this........ Glad I've got my ticket. Really looking forward to the game and the occasion.......
  16. Unsubstantiated and knee jerk opinions on an Internet message board? The humanity.......
  17. You are clearly a fella that puts things into perspective..........
  18. Just flicked over to the Germany - Ireland half time analysis. Martin O'Neil employing his own version of 4-6-0........working so far. Hopefully go the way of Prague and he can trot out the infamous it worked till they scored line.............
  19. Greer fell into the ball on his way down and it went to Hanley. Hanley lost it in the box and Greer was still on his arse. Spin that whatever you want but I'm afraid Greer's inability to continue to focus on play was beyond amateurish. That's why he got the blame. Have another watch of it I suggest.
  20. I like/endure watching Scotland playing. I like seeing England struggle and any of the Old Grim losing.
  21. Greer on his erse for the Nigerian second goal and then getting to his feet as quickly as an upturned turtle, says it all I'm afraid.
  22. Surely with all modern stadia the biggest advantage in a home tie is playing in front of a big crowd predominately made up of the home support. The other advantages are quite small compared to this. Scotland will be (hopefully) playing in front of a large/sold out crowd where more than 90% will be Scottish fans. It's when the stadium is a rickety old throwback that's when the actual ground is possibly an advantage also.
  23. I've gone for that. Also did it for the Germany game. In the countless times I have watched a game through streaming, not once have I had uninterrupted viewing. Happy to pay £7 for peace of mind and a great picture - and the bonus of getting all the sports channels all day. I might take out the weekly pass at Xmas as a wee treat...........
