  1. We've had some good midfielders in the likes of Ferguson, Fletcher, Lambert and Brown but I'm not sure we've had anywhere near the strength we have now. Agree about defence and forwards. I'd also add goalkeepers to the list.
  2. They've really turned their season around since he joined - Before he started a game - P 20, W 5, D 8, L 7, Pts 23 Games he's started - P 5, W 4, D 1, Pts 13 I've got to admit, I've no idea how good Serie B is compared to the Scottish Premiership or English Championship.
  3. Armstrong starting wouldn't upset me. I just think the players I mentioned are better, but don't think there is much in it. Fleck is having a great season but he's so inexperienced at this level I just can't justify him ahead of any of the midfield 3. McBurnie ahead of Griffiths would be a huge gamble. I've often stuck up for McBurnie on here but it's hard to make an argument for him ahead of Griffiths on current form.
  4. The 6 should be - McGregor - McTominay Forrest - McGinn* - Fraser Griffiths *Christie comes in if McGinn doesn't make it.
  5. From a Scotland POV, I'd rather Griffiths was playing than Christie. I really rate Christie but we have plenty of other midfield options. Our forward options are not so great.
  6. This place is mental My take - Always incredibly sad when somebody doesn't see any other option than suicide. There is double standards when it comes to dealing with bad behaviour by celebs. I've never watched Love Island, but it appears to be toxic. The CPS were doing the right thing in pursuing the allegations of DV. Who gives a fuck what age two consenting adults are when they get it on.
  7. He only played 3 times for us during the 15/16 season. 32 mins v Qatar 60 mins v Denmark 15 mins in Georgia It was the season after that he started to get regular games for us.
  8. I think he's been ruled out of the match tonight.
  9. He's not reached the standard of the 15/16 season where he scored around 40 goals but he's looked good since the winter break. We are certainly scoring more goals with him in the team, even if he's not getting them.
  10. Forrest suffers from us not having a good right-back. He spends far more time defending that he should need to and therefore is unable to do what he does for Celtic as much as we'd like for Scotland. What a lot of fans don't seem to appreciate is how often he gets the ball 40 yards further up the pitch with his runs. Personally, I thinking finding a system which keeps us solid at the back which allows Forrest and Fraser to fully support the attack is the key to us being a good side. Fraser and Forrest playing well can cause problems against most teams.
  11. Norway haven't lost at home since September 2016. They will probably win both matches next month.
  12. This gets said a lot but which players have replicated their club form for Scotland? I'd struggle to name 5.
  13. Yeah, it felt like a really big result yesterday. Aberdeen caused us lots of problems but the quality we do have can get us through games like that. The European games always make fixtures a bit trickier so it's good to have the breathing space at the top.
  14. Excellent! I'm really looking forward to the game and it's great to see it all but sold out with a month to go.
  15. Forrest turning up again when it matters. Superb player.
  16. Do you think McBurnie would start for Celtic... Right now? I seriously doubt it

    Fleck

Probably the best post I've ever read on here that I didn't write. Well played sir.
  18. It will be interesting to see where Fraser goes next season as he should he looking at a CL team.
  19. Can you imagine what a course" designed to help people understand why racist and sectarian abuse is unacceptable" delivered by rangers would look like?
  20. McGregor would get in the team still. Snodgrass and McArthur would likely make the squad. Ritchie wouldn't be too far away either.

Is Steve Clarke a Celtic fan?
  22. There is very little between Hanley, McKenna, Porteous, Findlay and a few others. My argument would be that Hanley got most of his caps when he was much younger and he has played at a higher level than all the other options.
  23. I love the end of cancer treatment bell videos that often get posted online. I like seeing folk do well for themselves. You know the friends you have on Facebook but don't actually see very often...following their successes can be satisfying. There is someone that used to post on here that I've not seen in years but remain FB friends with. His career has gone from strength to strength and it's great to see - although there is a bit of jealously as he is doing the job I always fancied doing. Staying on Facebook, I like looking back at the memories and reminding myself of good times and getting over the not so good times.
  24. He has been at Morton this season but was recalled last week. I'm not sure if there are any Morton fans on here that can tell us how he has been getting on.
