  1. No, not at all. Folk constantly moaning about it though are. First day back at work yesterday and it was all we heard, so maybe I just needed to vent. It's more the "me, me, me," culture I was fed up of. Agreed that makes no sense folk can go shopping in a busy shopping centre yet football down to 500 seems odd. Im a hypocrite though. Fed up hearing about it yet post in here to moan about it
  2. It doesn't surprise me. Was out a week before Christmas and tons of them around 20 or so, were doing the same (and openly taking more illegal substances) without a care in the world. Probably best you didn't say anything, they might have given it back or went for you. To sound like yer grumpy Da, but even in the last 20 years the levels of selfishness and ego in many folk are off the level. I blame watching too much US shite and social media in general.
  3. He can GTF. He has turned us down countless times. No doubt if we make the WC, he'll be up for a cap!
  4. Exactly. Wish more folk would think of that than bumping their gums. All those arseholes boasting about heading to Newcastle to party will be the first in the queue to use the NHS if they were poorly with COVID. It's three weeks too, you selfish arseholes. Think about others less vulnerable than yourself - it might be non symptomatic for a 21 year old but that could knock another person off their feet for a few days, weeks. And spare the stats, 40% less deadly, SA doing well with it etc. PS not a go at you, vander. Also, what Scotland, wales and NI are doing is basically what most European states are doing. I feel for folk in the hospitality sector who are out of work right now. I'm just fed up of mostly grown men behaving like spoilt little tarts really when they basically do what they want anyway, but the fitba is off for their winter break earlier.
  5. Know quite a few SNP voters who are really annoyed by this. Not an election for ages, but I reckon they'll take a hit in the polls
  6. Those Hibs Union Jacks are feckin bowfin. Mind a Hibee trying to tell me it was for Basque 😅
  7. I've fired through a lot of Succession in about 3 days! On the Dundee episode, just brilliant! Hearts Football Club? 😀 Brilliant acting throughout this series.
  8. The trial stinks. Very little reporting on it this side of the pond considering she is a British citizen. There is tons of honking stuff on Twitter e.g beheading, pornography, violence etc yet the trial tracker account was banned fro the get go - for simply stating what was going on. Here's my own conspiracy - I think anyone who wears a pinky ring is one for the watching, and an awfae lot of the alleged passengers on his jet have these.
  9. I've always liked Clarke as a person - no nonsense, and obviously well liked by the squad. After the Euros, at the start to qualifying I was starting to get a bit itchy feet about him though and more so, because we had seen it all before under Levin, Burley, Berti of making a pig's ear of a start to qualifying especially at home, and TBH, maybe 20 years of this, after that 2-2 with Austria at home and that draw in Israel, that it was going to be another long way off second battling it out with Israel for 3rd finish. Key moments 1. Winning in Austria - I went in to that thinking a draw would be a fairly decent result (considering Israel had beaten Austria) but to win, against a very good side (they pushed Italy all the way in the Euros) was a huge result. When did we beat a higher seed away in the last 5-10 years? 2. Getting over the line against Israel. We were rank in that first half, and just thought it was going to be another draw. We also shot ourselves in the foot by equalising and then Israel going ahead almost straight after it. But to win in the last minute and by a bit of a flukey goal too, was amazing. The sort of thing you see other teams do! Not us! And if we ever did that it was against Liechtenstein FFS. 3. That Denmark performance. Just magic. They had injuries, they had won the group, but they were going for a 100% record and not many smaller (population) sides have done that in qualifying, so they had a huge incentive. We were well up for it, and EVERY single player was superb. 4. Moldova away - wasn't pretty, and the closer it got to half-time I was fearing a draw, but we were the better team and a 2-0 win was deserved. We are on a roll, but we have a very tough game in March, but Ukraine are beatable. Have a feeling it'll go to ET. If, and that's a big IF, we get past them I am really undecided on who I would want to play Wales - they have done well of late, and well worthy of their second place finish as well. I think we are just the better side on paper, but it's a derby, and they often find a way of beating us. Losing there would be awful, but winning there would be simply AMAZING. Austria - we did well there. I refuse to believe they have become a poor side in the space of 3-4 months after the Euros. They'll be well up for it and so will their fans. We did it in Serbia, we could do it again ; but I reckon I'd roll the dice and take the game in Cardiff hopefully with 10k of Scotland fans sneaked in around the ground.
  10. Cheers Kumnio, Phart and Orra - aye a bit of a ramble earlier. Just ordered a home PCR test from your link, Kevin. Mucho cheers!
  11. Apologies, and a bit off topic, but does anyone know of a good Day 2 PCR test place in Dundee or Angus? I am coming back to Scotland on Tuesday but only for 11 days, and stupidly left this late (then again they changed the rules this weekend and last week regarding the variant) Or even a decent/fast one that is outwith Scotland that sends your result via an email or so? As usual, the information about this is hardly crystal clear. Edinburgh airport has a 'testing' site, but I believe or going by their wording ''make sure to have time before your flight," this only for people departing the UK? And not arrivals? Also, what's with all those labs and sites with the shittest and scammiest looking names ever e.g would you ever trust a website !!!0-100 Covid 19 for ordering a Covid test on your own accord? Also, two thumbs down to the Scottish government for not even having a simple PDF or table of providers in the 32 counties of Scotland rather than having to scroll through site after site that mentions ''Arrival to England'' copy/pasted shite from the UK Govt site. https://www.find-travel-test-provider.service.gov.uk/providers#list-of-test-providers Apologies again, I've ended up ranting, but I do laugh at the UK and ''the beaucratic EU'' you couldn't pick a more word salad, amateur tinpot information page than the arrival to UK page on the UK Govt site. Thanks for reading haha.
  12. Think Wales and two Irelands now look better than us. No chance they're qualifying for the WC.
  13. First time in my life I'm hoping BJ tells her to GTF. 8 Days is wild
  14. The draw Ukraine - a decent side. "Unbeaten" whilst true, it also means 2 points from Finland, Kazakhstan, and to give them credit, France as well. They have some very good young players coming through, and their U20 side won the WC in 2019 ; but its a winnable game. A tough game, but a sold-out Hampden, the side play as well as they did against Denmark, we can surely beat them. I hae a feeling we'll need ET or pens for this though. IF we get past Ukraine ; Wales - I've not seen enough of them, and whilst they have done really well under Page, they have struggled at times in their qualifying group - Belarus away, Estonia, yet put in some great results too - Czechs away and the final match against Belgium at home. Bale, Ramsey are aging, 5-6 years ago it would have been a different story. They have some decent players, but I think on average, we should be beating them. Austria - I am wary of. I thought they were very good in the Euros. Yet, been fairly poor in this group. They have some very decent players in Germany, and I think a potential final against them there would be a lot harder than our win there in the group. I'm hoping for Wales in Cardiff. As horrible as losing to them would be, I think we have a far greater chance of beating Wales away than Austria - we did it recently etc. Then again, losing to Wales would be just awful.
  15. I've had the same experience with them as well. Met rugby fans in Amsterdam about 12 years ago, we were on a stag and a bit rowdy/silly laddies but nothing crazy. Met about 10 Irish rugby fans and 10 Welsh ones - they might have been playing each other in the Six Nations, and the Irish won? Cannae mind, but the Irish lads (who identified as Irish but had NI accents) were totally great, and a good laugh. The Welsh were basically like mini-English louts. Met some of their fans at that awful game in 2012 and again, I was just surprised at how "English" they are culturally, that superior, belittling opponents when down, I just don't identify with that at all, and I know there's a lot of criticism directed at us and the Irish for 'the wha's like us' or the Irish version 'they will party no matter the score,' etc ; but give me that pleasantry than having to speak to some boring, arrogant windbag who's just moaning and belittling you or your country for being shite. And its not all Wales, I went to Bala and the west/north-west parts in 2015 and everyone was amazing, and really friendly. Their sports fans tend to be more like the English, IMO
  16. Being in Cardiff and seeing us win could potentially be the best feeling in the world! Being in Cardiff and seeing us lose would without doubt be the worst feeling the world!
  17. Ukraine are a decent side and some very exciting youngsters coming through, but in a group with Kazakhstan, Finland, Bosnia Herz - they managed 2 wins and 6 draws, undefeated, but hopefully a rockin Hampden and we can take them. Then we HOPEFULLY SURELY if we they beat Austria, can finally fucking beat Wales!
  18. Gordon has been unbelievable of late. You wouldn't dream of putting Marshall in right now, yet strange Gordon was nowhere to be seen a year ago for us. Not to go all conspiracy theory, but is it not since he divorced his wife and married a younger, model type that his career seems to be flying again at the ripe old age of 39 in 4 weeks.
  19. North Macedonia are a very decent side. They got to the Euros and they are in the POs - a bit like us. I watched their final game, and lucky for us (if we do manage to draw them) Elias their star man is out of the first leg with a suspension.
  20. It was good to see Ralston come on and get capped. I think he has improved a lot this year, so he was well worth is call up. Hopefully he can keep firing on at club level and be in the squad for the playoffs.
  21. Magnificent watching that, how disappointing that 2-2 felt with Austria, yet now looks a massive result for us!
  22. McCoist is brilliant. He's undeniably passionate and why not (he's on UK TV to a mostly Scottish audience) but he's not distasteful, arrogant or an arsehole about it. He's very clued up on the opposition compared to many Scottish pundits. He is not biased at all, and tends to call the game as it is, and if we get a lucky break, he'll usually acknowledge it. I genuinely enjoy listening to him. At one point last night, he said about SOD struggling forward and trying to get a ball in for a corner but ultimately failed, Coist's reaction was "I don't mind it. I don't mind it at all,''' can you imagine Proven, he would probably have had said something negative about SOD being limited and Patterson is now the no2 etc. Crocker is fine. He can be irritating when are are losing, but I think hearing any patrionising English accent riles me, when we are embarrassing ourselves (and he's commentated on us in those circumstances many many times)|
  23. Some brilliant posts in here after last night. Not much more to add, but that was MAGNIFICENT. I think I might end up watching it on Wednesday afternoon again when I'm off - every single Scotland player was superb. AND HOW GOOD IS It to not have to rely on results tonight either. Even if we'll be hoping for such, we can relatively all relax and watch Wales, Turkey, Czech Rep games and think och well, at least we are at home in March! Just over the moon still. Notice there's an international break in Jan and Feb - thinks CONCACAF, Asia and South America, considering how many games Europe has played in 2020 and 2021, I take it there's no friendlies then?
