  1. Were you not shiting it? Lithuania scored in the last minute did they not?
  2. The Americans seem to be trying to build him up in to a shock jock, a Jon Gaunt type of football. He has some shitey segiment on ESPN something like ''Burley's boiling pot'' where he attempts to rant about what got up his irk this week in football. So much for a guy that doesn't watch the NT much anyway.
  3. Interesting. So he did. I watched him live in Dublin recently on YouTube from about 1987 - and the chatter inbetween songs was Weegie.
  4. Another post-referendum poll has a Yes lead. A different pollstar as well Yes 53% No 47% http://scotgoespop.blogspot.co.uk/
  5. Curiously but seems he has two accents. A London one and then a Scottish one. Like Gillian Anderson and that knob Barrowman has as well. Anyone know of any others who are "bi-accented" (surely a better name than that for it?)? Hugely off-topic, apologies.
  6. I don't think we get it anymore, but I used to enjoy watching it. It was on Sky at one point though.
  7. Didn't you say UKIP would win seats in May?
  8. This pretty much spot on. I doubt we'd do anything of note in the Euros, but flip, it would be good just to get there. Sticks oot the most is doing well in the games against Ireland and in Warsaw to near enough throw it all away with that performance on Friday.
  9. Another sickner is to get points in Warsaw and take 4pts from the Irish. Yet to probably miss out, AGAIN.
  10. Marshall looked ropey. Hutton - get him to . He can't cross the ball, he doesn't look up. He goes to ground when he loses the ball. Terrible first touch. We cannot string passes together, we look about 3 divisions below Germany. Steven Fletcher needs binned to the bench. I doubt Griffiths is any better at this level, but we need to try something else. Fletch probably good to chuck on if winning. This has been coming though. Qatar, NI, Ireland matches - were similar. We do not create at all. We can't unlock defenses. We have one creative player in Maloney. We cannot seem to hold on to the ball for any period of time. Sure, it was Germany tonight and a very difficult game, but on Friday we were brutal at that. How long do we take with throw ins, and there's no movement at all from players. It was 3-2 going on 7 if they really could be arsed to hump us. I think we did reasonably well considering our opponents, but the reason we are mumping, is because it all comes back to Georgia. We can get to the Playoffs though, but certainly got getting my hopes up. No doubt come next month we'll all be raring to go again, but if we do somehow get the Playoffs we are looking at some very hard matches possibly Ukraine, Turkey/Netherlands, Croatia, Denmark.
  11. Probably him. He should have started on Friday.
  12. Rennie is probably right, but he's still a fud. Everytime I see him smiling he looks like a bairn in his primary class photo. How did he get to be leader? McInnes and McArthur are more more states(woooo)man like than him. Not that I care, I hope they expire in 2016 - the Libs, not the people who represent them of course.
  13. Never liked Oliver or his delivery. I'm a vile ethnic nationalist though so he winnae like me either.
  14. Last time I watched something like this was Tommy Sheridan. STV kept the mics running and heard lots of great quotes from the public "Always thought you were bawbag" "You should be facing life for some of the munters you pumped"
  15. I used to share a flat with a Northern Irish 'catholic' (in brackets because he was an atheist, but family/parents all catholic) from Fermanagh who followed NI through and through, and an Irishman from Sligo. We used to get in to some great discussions when pished, or even sober. I tried to say out of that shite when the two of them would lock horns about an Irish national team. I still remember a quote from Sligo ; not that it was groundbreaking, but I'd just keep stumm when they'd go in to it. ''Kev has a British passport and he wants to be anything but, you are Irish who'd rather be British" Brian - the NI guy said NI was his team, as he grew up there, his pals, were from there. He voted SDLP if I recall, and supported Ireland if NI never got there, but NI was his team first and foremost. Very fascinating though if a complex situation. I was Hans Blixs, and stuck out of it, but I enjoyed those evenings watching our teams together and especially on the very, very rare occasion Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland all won - it did happen once! Coupon up.. I still can't understand why NI stick with GSTQ, not being anti British etc, but seems the IFA don't care one jot. There's not a serious campaign to replace it, and it does stick in the throat 'wishing them well' when you see half the flags being Union Jacks.
  16. Fantastic stuff. They're living it up in Reykajvik tonight. http://www.visir.is/strakarnir-maeta-a-ingolfstorg/article/2015150909152
  17. Watching this and Wales on the laptop. I love seeing DI Burnside Terim on the sidelines for the Turks. Some atmosphere it sounds too.

    Wales

They are a decent side - totally dominating against Israel so far. Where Bale is an asset is games like Thursday when it may have ended 0-0. Good luck to them next summer.
  19. Terrible reading that, Hightower. Sorry to hear of your pal.
  20. Maybe. I think what is so frustrating is that - we've done the hard work (Poland and Ireland - 2pts away) beating Ireland at home, then shooting ourselves in the foot by failing to get anything in Tblisi. I would have taken a draw, it would probably have scunnered our automatic qualification hopes too, but it would have kept us ahead of Ireland at least for third. I'm dissapointed, but always said if we can't win in Georgia then it's our own fault. No sob stories, or 'plucky Jockland' pish from the EBC. If we want to qualify, then we have to win in these places like the rivals in our group did. The momentum is a killer too. We were full of hope, optimism etc, and may well be again tomorrow night if a huge result is achieved, but that is a tough ask. We will most likely be 4pts behind Ireland with 2 games to go - although they have two difficult games - we may well just miss out on that Playoff.

    U21

They have scouts from Italian clubs over every summer, and often a few lads will be signed up at 10/11 - move to Italy etc. Their league isn't that bad either. It's not great, but they always tend to have one team that does well in Europe. Last year, Stjarnan got to the 3rd round of the UEFA Cup before meeting Inter. The Faroes seem to be working miracles too. 40K population and they are a decent side. Beaten Greece twice this year, and last night they were better than NI until they had a man sent off.
  22. Fool for punishment. Nae drink and as sober as a judge, but starting to think we'll get a result on Monday now.. FFS!
