  1. Indeed. Flann O'Briens. If I recall correctly, some Edinburgh reprobates successfully managed to get the British Consul in Graz to fund most of their drinks in there the night before the game
  2. I've been gargling with hot honey and lemon tincture for the past week to get my voice in tip-top condition for singing FoS on Saturday.
  3. Sure Citizens Advice will be able to give you an impartial perspective.
  4. I've always used ratedpeople.com website when looking for someone to do work. Can fault it. You simply put up a description of the work needing done and the tradespeople will contact you. As they know you are going through the website they all know that you'll be getting a number of offers, which helps keep the quotes fairly tight. usually work mentioning if you're looking for insurance-paid work, as not everyone does this. You also get the chance to comment on the work on the website after completion, so tradespeople know they have to give a decent deal and quality work.
  5. Chances are he's either not known about it, or he does but has just kissed it off like you have. OR, he'll be a Mr Big gangster with corrupt police contacts that will give him details of where you live and he'll be round to see you with Big Boab (his favourite baseball bat). He probably won't do this right away - most of these guys like letting the victim sweat for a few days, weeks or even months. Seriously, tho, you don't need to report any collision to the cops unless someone is injured.
  6. With all due respect, mate - stick to science. Your understanding of economics is rather poor.
  7. I'm boycotting the England game. First game against England in over 30 years that I will have willingly missed a game against the Auld Enemy. Nothing to do with the cost. I just object to the SFA adding friendlies into the price of the season ticket. If they get away with this one a high profile friendly will be a permanent feature of future season tixs IMO. All friendlies as far as I'm concerned should be outwith any competitive campaign pricing structure.
  8. So, can you confirm the only boaby she'd take is one that comes with a buckle on the back?
  9. Sadly, you don;t seem to be able to see the bigger HD picture Haven't you had your offer of your name on one of the player's 'anthem' jackets, the chance to upload a video of yourself singing FoS, or the email offering the chance of attending the 'secret' gig? And don't forget your £30 (retail value*) t-shirt. * Stewart Regan
  10. Do they still have the Red Hands (of Ulster) pointing the way to the toilet in the Rosevale?
  11. Clockwork Orange to Hillhead, a wee crawl doon Byers Rd and end up in the Lismore. Current plan, might change tho.
  12. Just be upfront about it. Carry a ladder about with you, prop it up at a window of your choice and stare directly in. Save spending on high mag optics.

I'm wondering if Strachan will use Craig Gordon against Poland. IMO he's a much better shot stopper than Marshall and that might be a factor against the Poles. Don't think it will be so important against Georgia.
  14. Met Clarkson once at a charity dinner and got the impression he was a total attention seeker, butting into other fowks' conversations and giving his opinion even if you didn't ask for it. He didn't really think much of my opinion that cars are just something that get you from A to B (like a bus) and not a real peni5 extension.
  15. That was my thought as well If he could cycle across the water...now that would really be something. Heard some of the current day youngsters on Skye do the Cuillins on in-line roller blades. Aparently bikes are for the auldies.
  16. It may well start off that way but markets lend according to many things (your control of your economy and its prospects, your ability to manage your budget, your natural resources, export prospects, employment rates, tax collection rates etc). This article is just focusing on the single issue of a being a new borrower. The rate might start off slightly higher but it's the Govt expediency that will ultimately determine borrowing rates. And for the Scottish Govt, it's not the borrowing rate that will really matter - more the potential return on investment. Bear in mind, in the same way Yes people want to keep the positive going, the BBC will want to keep the 'scary' stuff coming out as well. In saying that, the Scottish Govt really need to be on top of this borrowing powers stuff when it comes to 'Vow' negotiations. It might be they'd be better saying 'No Thanks' if all the associated criteria doesn't properly align.
  17. Was talking to Colin Fox yesterday. He was out campaigning at the East End of Princes St and he'd simply amended the Yes posters to Still Yes. Didn't have any badges with that on it but seems an obvious slogan.
  18. Looks fine, IMO. Obviously being a start-up it will need to rely on running news and putting it's own slant on it but as time goes on and it builds up its contributors and resources it will hopefully develop as we'd like to see it develop and be a hub for some insightful stuff. Bookmarked.
  19. Found the taxis (official) were fine last time. Actually pretty miffed none of them tried to rip us off. Suppose we'll have to wait until we get back to Tbilisi for that.
  20. I'd love to see what guidance the SFA gives travelling fans for Port of Spain. Nice country, scummy city.
  21. Braw - cufflinks for my new three-sleeved shirt.
  22. How do you expect the SFA to pay for those diamond-encrusted coat pegs they hang their blazers on?
  23. BNP just bought them on behalf of a client and are holding them in their nominee account.
