  1. 1am. I'm over 50 and can't nod off. Thinking of all the implications of tonights game. If we win or draw, got an away trip to organize, if we get beat , is it worth going to Faro. Don't believe in this "Party if we win or lose" shite. Any night owls out there feeling the same way. Has to be the biggest game since Italy........and it's only for a play off place
  2. There is a train service from Faro to Almancil. Not sure how close the pick up is to the station, but will at least cut down on the taxi fares.
  3. can we accept that emotions are part and parcel of attending these games. I was one of those who did not want to accept the performance and when the players came to our end, I waved them away and told them to f. off. This was the game that we needed to win and the players never trapped. 3 hours later mixing with the players at the airport, I fortunately never engaged with any of them, asking why they were pish. If you want to get selfies with the players who have let you down, that's ok with me, if you want to boo the team after they've let you down, that's ok with me too.
  4. Naw I agree with the initial caller. If we were treated as customers rather than loyal supporters the customer complaints department for the transport systems, catering, welfare and stadium would be swamped with complaints. I remember after the Wales game, this board was awash with stories, because the bad weather and result had made it feel worse. After the first day of the Commonweath Games, they got the transport right. Where was the Park n Ride last night? Why were the traffic lights not synchronised to favour the traffic heading into town. As for the catering, give the Franchise to Greggs, for all the stadiums in Scotland. I've been a good few trips with Scotland and we must rank as one of the worst experiences on game day, apart from Stadium atmosphere. Abroad the transport is free, so no queuing for tickets. I know, nobody forces me to go and to be honest I've given a lot of the home games a miss because it's shite service, and I live in the West of Scotland.
  5. Definetly one of my favourite trips. Met loads of smashing folk.
  6. during the Commonwealth games there were several "disabled" Shiites right up at the back of the west & East stands. Cracking view and under cover. Why did those not get used.?
  7. Thought the first 15 minutes was ok , but as the game progressed and the team failed to perform there was an air of disbelief. if we had scored in the first 15 minutes the atmosphere would have been superb.
  8. but it's not been 18 years of shite. There have been moments of brilliance and great results, which keep people coming back and hoping. However, after 20 minutes in Tiblisi the other night, when I had made the effort to get there, I was gutted that the team didn't turn up. I met most of the team at the airport enroute home after the game and could have vented my spleen at that time. Instead, I ignored them as did most of the other fans. As my maw used to say, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. there were a few happy clappers asking for foties as. If they hadnae let us down. That's up to them, don't have a problem with it.You do have the option of not supporting them. I became a TV fan for 25 years because I had a family and couldn't afford it. Nobody missed me and I didnae get a big welcome back. Don't expect gratitude, being a fan is a one way thing. Finally, this message board is usually a pretty decent church of opinion. If folk wannabe post pish, go onto that Facebook page. Absolute comedy genius
  9. We marched all the way back into town. just the two of us. Think it was more of a huffy flounce than a march though
  10. I'll no be getting home till midday, so tell them to dry their eyes.
  11. thanx for organising this, we had a smashing day, if a bit exhausting. One church too far. next time
  12. Was talking to you boys at Istanbul airport today. you're positive attitude was admirable, We managed to get a hold of your apartment owner abandoned told them you'd be late.Isee you on the Gori trip tomorrow.
  13. If I'm over the Indian Ocean, I'm in trouble.
  14. Disagree. There has to be rules otherwise it will just be chaos. Boots and woolie socks are essential with the kilt. On the plus side I've been in Istanbul for two days and lost a stone. Feathers a bit floppy now though.
  15. I'm on 9 points now. Only because i missed Molde because of a broken leg and didn't harvest. 1) Am I elite 2) Why did I not receive an invitation to the Elite 3) Why has it not made a big difference to my life And to,all you pedants, I know I forgot the question mark but I've been drinking.
  16. Sounds good. looking forward to it. Seems like it will be toastie.

  19. For anyone interested, BBC did a documentary " most dangerous roads" . visited Gori and gave a short explanation of the political situation. Probably catch it on bbc I player
  20. Just check it's the same airport. BAsic mistake I've made myself.
  21. Used them many a time, back in the day. Suggest you join the MBA ( by now I'm sure they'll have a website). they'll give you. List of current bothies and their location. we had some great nights in them in Knoydart and other locations, but would always carry a tent as back up.
