  1. They are no daft enough to walk doon to the polling station in the pissin' rain and a howlin gale when they don't need to.
  2. The SNP policy (should they have power to apply it after 2016) is to continue to charge fees from RUK students. How they achieve that is debatable. The SNP think they can get an opt out from EU law based on the damage which could be caused to the Scottish Higher education system if they weren't allowed to charge these fees. If that doesn't work then the system suggested by Evilscotsman is a perfectly reasonable and workable alternative.
  3. Once you register for a postal vote you stay registered for a postal vote for future elections unless you ask for it to be changed. You don't need to re-register for a postal vote for each election.
  4. Some folk were suggesting that when Gideon did his sermon on the pound back in February, it was a deliberate attempt to get the pound devalued. One of the main reasons was to try to help exports to try to boost the economy before the 2015 election. Causing uncertainty for the referendum was just an added bonus. Maybe this was his plan all along (well not his plan obviously, as it would need to somebody much smarter than him to come up with it) but it has just taken longer to happen than they expected?
  5. Yes. It should be a monument which represents all the People of Scotland taking back their sovereignty.
  6. It is far, far too complicated for any Scottish person to understand. We are not genetically programmed to understand such things which is why we have leave this sort of stuff to the folk at Westminster.
  7. If Cameron wants to debate we should be quite happy to accept his challenge but YES should put in Tommy Sheridan against him. That would be worth a laugh.
  8. Yes, you can if you want to. There will be no law against living in the past.
  9. Loads of folk don't have access to that sort of stuff for one reason or another. These are the folk we should be targeting with the Wee Blue Books.
  10. I think there are still quite a lot who haven't bothered to think about it yet. Some folk have busy lives and other interests. Loads of folk just cannot stand anything to do with politics. There are without doubt a huge number of "can't be bothered to vote" types. It's maybe a wee bit ironic that these could be the folk who decide this referendum if we can persuade enough of them to go and put an X in a box.
  11. No fukin chance. Even Precious McKenzie couldnae dae that. They are pretty heavy you know. 240 in each box.
  12. It's true. I believe he is a reporter. Well, I heard it on the BBC so it must be true.
  13. You did say that you were in the NO section for today didn't you?
  14. Radio Scotland seem to be going berserk about something which was said about "defaulting on the debt". I have no idea how we can default on a debt which we don't have, but that's the BBC for you.
  15. The Wee Blue Book (paper version) is starting to hit the streets. I've had loads of folk asking for them but up till now they have been hard to come by. It's now just a question of getting them into the hands of the right people. Might be a wee bit late in the day but it might just make a difference to folk who don't use the internet.
  16. For me, this is the most exciting bit about the whole referendum campaign. I have always thought that independence in itself probably wont make that much difference to most folk's lives one way or another. But this grass root involvement just might. If even just half of the folk actively involved in the YES campaign decide to stay involved after the referendum, we could be living in a very different place in 10 years time. "It's time for the politicians to stand aside, The People of Scotland have got this under control" But as you say, folk who aren't actively involved wont fully understand what we are on about. I have never seen anything like this.
  17. I'm sure he will still be counted as a NO though. Somebody told me that, can't remember who it was.
  18. At least we can narrow it down a wee bit. It probably wasn't an owl that said it. Am I the only person who gets an image of an owl in my head, every time Flipper says the word "who"?
