It's typical. My mate who doesn't bet or know a great deal about football got £1083 back from a ten pound treble on Saturday. St Mirren v Hibs - both teams to score and a draw Norwich v Newcastle - both teams to score and a Norwich win Rochdale v Doncaster - both teams to score and a draw. Think Hibs equalised late on, Norwich scored in the 92nd minute and there was an equaliser in the other game in the 96th minute. WTF

Tartan-Don, if I was you, I wouldn't actually stay in Dubrovnik. I would stay in Cavtat, a wee resort near the airport south of Dubrovnik, it's stunning. Before heading down to Montenegro, if you have time you should visit Mostar in Bosnia. You wont be disappointed. As Durtyweeker says Budvar is ace. Cracking beach which hosts outdoor concerts etc. Much cheapness to be found in bars and restaurants. Thoroughly recommend you visit Kotor (a walled city. The drive down from Croatia to Montenegro is beautiful and you can stop at some stunning villages on the way. There is a very scenic fijord too that you will drive round. Would love to explore Montenegro a bit more. From what I have seen of it, it is stunning, cheap and friendly even if it is completely overrun with Russians.

Cove, I'll get back to you on the hotel. Kev, I met up with Darius for a few beers when i was over and it was he who showed me the bars you mention in the east side. I particularly enjoyed the hop and barley bar where they brew their own beers. There was a cracking bar I was in near BFC Dynamo's ground but i can't remember it's name. Can't wait to go back in May. At least it'll be warmer. This week was absolutely perishing.

Berlin never ceases to impress me. I'm just back after 3 nights. Stayed in a cracking hotel albeit 3 stars just off Kurfurstendam at Brandenburgstrasse. Was only £25 per night with a cracking bar along the road which offered excellent breakfasts. Best thing I did was book a 3 day travel pass through expedia which I picked up from the tourist info office on arrival at the airport. It covered me for all types of transport in zones A, B and C. It's so simple to negotiate your way around on the underground or overground and indeed on the buses and trams. Would thoroughly recommend the mixture of bars in the east side of Berlin roundabout Warschauer Str. The city is vast and I'm looking forward to going back for another 3 nights at the end of May. Been 7 or 8 times now and still loads of places to go and see. One of my favourite cities. Didn't realise there had been a car bombing until I got off the underground at Bismarkstrasse only to find the road all closed off and an incredible amount of police etc.

I had to collect in Dortmund. My SSC card had no photo on it so they kept hold of it, said they would be in touch and get it sorted. They never did. Any pick ups I've had since then I've used my old card. Not an issue any more as I haven't rejoined.

Didn't renew. Sacrificed 9 points.
