Travel to Folkestone on Thursday night and get a hotel then tunnel on the Friday morning and drive to Metz which is about 4 hours I reckon from Calais. Anyone else considering this option? Might be cheaper to go via Portsmouth on the overnight ferry to Le Havre? Think there is only 50 or so miles in it between there & Calais?
