wanderer
Just had a email from Jet2 saying the Malta Government have introduced a tourist tax which is paid at the airport on arrival. €0.50 per person (over the age of 18) per day to a maximum of €5. scottincarlisle
So are you classed as a tourist if you are visiting friends while over ?
wanderer
Not sure, email from Jet2 does not go into any/great detail. When reading about online looks like it's actually paid at your hotel, so would imagine it's just added on top of your bill.

scottincarlisle
I've got the Jet2 email now & it sounds like you pay at the hotel on arrival.
Fugitive
great way of cashing in for them but I'll not moan about paying the price of a pint extra for staying there a week
