Flora MaDonald
Really can't wait for this. It's easily the highlight of my sporting year. I hear Cambridge are underdogs, but have weight in their favour, with an excellent cox. Getting the sleeper to London tonight, and have secured a deck-chair in Putney. Who are you all going for? Bristolhibby
A great traditional "event for the people". The labourers, postmen and shop workers are clocking off early to get to the bar to grab their first pint of Pimms. J

kps022000
Having spent over 4 years working in Putney and working on each boat race day I am have mixed feelings towards it. On the downside, the place is heaving with complete members in purple trousers and blazers who are pissed out their head. Also seems like the only day of the year they are allowed out. However, on the positive, there are some absolutely stunning young ladies wearing very little clothes in Putney on the Friday and Saturday night. As for the race itself, I still don't know who is who, or really care.
deecie
Fa cares? It's more interesting to note that since I've left AU, RGU has won the BIG race every year. Coincidence? I think not.
