ParisInAKilt Posted March 10, 2015 Share Posted March 10, 2015 Set up my record player - Rega Rp1, Cambridge audio amplifier and decent speakers. Anyway sounds great until I plug in my headphones, the sound becomes tiny and distorted when I then try and turn it up loud. Having a google and not having much luck, the amp says it supports headphone output, tried with Bose headphones and normal earphones, both terrible. Any ideas? the_burger Posted March 10, 2015 Share Posted March 10, 2015 Might sound daft, but try pulling the headphone socket/jack out very slightly from the input. Have a record playing when you do it so you can hear the difference.I had a similar problem with a set of headphones and this worked - no idea why.
