Lamia
I am being driven to insanity. I have started having to reboot the BT Homehub at least once a day because TAMB stops loading. Today I have had to do it 3 times. I have no problem with any other website and it only started after we got our Homehub 5. Neither FE or I can get on when this happens but I can get on on my phone which is also connected to the homehub. Rebooting the laptop doesn't solve it only the homehub... I have tried googling but haven't found an answer. HELP!!
Lamia
Phew - glad that posted. I was expecting it to crash out again...
perthTam
I got that a while back too with a number of sites. Eventually sorted by getting a new splitter (the wee plastic bit that separates the voice data and internet data from one line into two). Only cost a few quid but saved so much hassle it was well worth it.
Guest BlueGaz
Having issues with mine too Lamia and been on to them a lot recently. Try a hard reset rather than a reboot. There is a little reset hole on the back that you can stick a pin in or a paper clip. Press the button for about 15 seconds until the blue lights go off and it starts to boot again. Also call them up to do a reset their end and they can also reset channels for you. Hub 5 is a piece of shit, simples. Above has temporarily (hopefully permanently) fixed my issues. Good luck. I will be seeing out my year with them then moving.

Cheers Hub 5 is indeed a piece of shit - it decides to reboot of its own accord and often won't connect as says your password is wrong bleedin nightmare

McFootSoldier
Just to confirm, When the tamb stops loading, you reboot your laptop and you can get on other webpages but still cannot get on the tamb. Or after rebooting the laptop no webpages load ?

Rebooting the laptop doesn't help.
McFootSoldier
Is their any message or does it just freeze or say page unavailable ? Does sound odd. The other thing to try would be when down try typing in 83.223.101.90 in your address bar to see if you get anything or nothing loads. The other thing to try would be when down try typing in 83.223.101.90 in your address bar to see if you get anything or nothing loads. It acts the same way it would if the website was down - tries to find it and then comes up with the page that you get when a site is down. McFootSoldier
? At a guess something goes wrong with DNS settings on the hub. There are a few other things you could do to narrow the problem down but probably going to end up at the router. If possible do a factory reset on the router and see if any different. tartandon
My iphone still works! Are you and FE using the same computer or different ones? If it's the same one, does it perform the same way on all browsers on your computer? For example, if you usually use Chrome, trying the TAMB in firefox or IE. Check if you get the same behaviour on all web browsers on your computer. If it's the same on them all, then it's possibly a computer issue. If it varies, it's your browser. If you and FE are using different computers, it definitely sounds like the DNS settings on your router. See the following couple of links for changing the DNS on your router. https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Infinity-Speed-Connection/Manually-set-DNS-servers-in-BT-Homehub-2-0-with-BT-Infinity/td-p/43963 http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/networking/1400420/how-to-fix-bt-dns-issues-using-google-dns

OLAS
If you haven't already, stick the Google DNS on the router instead of your computer. (Unless you want FE locked out while you're posting away )

McFootSoldier
Your computers will probably get the DNS settings from the router, your i phone may not get this in the same way. Don't know, ruling out if they have the same dns settings may help. You can put in the google dns into the laptop through the network in the control panel and see if it fails with this or just compare the settings to see if the same or not. Although I would think other sites may not work if it was a dns issue. If it doesn't happen when you use your laptop on another wifi you would think it would relate to the home hub being the issue, if bt can't help you would have to try a reset on the router or swap with another. I put the google DNS into my laptop and it didn't solve the problem. We haven't tried BT yet because I don't think I have the energy to explain this is only happening to one site - I can already hear them trying to blame something else! I am pretty sure the router is the issue though.

Lamia
Well we are still having this problem. I have now been in contact with BT and tried various things they suggested. I have discovered that it appears to be only Apple products and only if they are connected via the wifi. I can still access the TAMB on my phone via 4G when the problem occurs but as soon as I connect to the wifi I get Server the not responding or found message. I can also connect with a non Apple laptop via the wifi when the issue occurs. We have tried disconnecting the time machine and the last thing we have done is BT sent a new router which we have now connected to and the problem is still occurring. Reseting the router sorts the problem so if is definitely an Apple/wifi/TAMB issue but I think we are going to have to admit defeat and just have to reset the router every few days! OLAS
Lamia, Try this: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/zenmate-for-ios8-best-vpn/id903380113?mt=8 I think it gives you enough bandwidth to use for surfing the TAMB for a month. Not the ideal situation, but it should work.
