Plenty said so far that I agree with, but did Clarke just underestimate the opposition, and not realise how fragile/unconfident his players were? I'm also thinking of the Czechs being the Championship champions promoted to the SPL and banging in a few early wins (DUFC?) and us being Motherwell (sorry).

Loved the NL. Something to play for at every level. It's covid that's buggered it up like everything else. If it isn't strangled in infancy, it may someday be regarded as prestigious. We Brits once looked down upon the World Cup don't forget Used to do my nut in that we (I include Jock Stein here!) regarded Euro qualifiers as friendlies, and most fans were more interested in the annual England friendly*. Blinkered and petty. *Don't tell me it was a championship, as nae bugger turned up to see us vs N.Ireland or Wales.

OK I'm not picking on you Exile, just that I love both songs. I'm no musician and am half corned beef, so no authority. I get the common rhythm, and also that they are simple 12 bar blues progressions (I think), but the latter would capture a load of tunes. Taylor does look and act wicked though, so maybe three points of contact is plenty. Aw feck, I had to look her up to check her name as a though, and now found out she was a child actor. I hope that explains absolutely nothing.
