  1. I quite enjoyed the series whenever I watched it but as has been said cant remember any of the previous winners. Actually thought the girl coached by Tom Jones was the best.
  2. The media/establishment seemed to have been content with the jock-bashing prior to Nicola Sturgeon projecting herself to the forefront and right in the UK limelight after her debate performance. Now , with her coming across as very accomplished its sort of thrown them a curve ball. Not sure how this new found UK celebrity status will affect the rest of UK thinking , but I think it will backfire on Labour - Milliband coming across as a total d ick. I think the Scottish electorate are much more focused on what the SNP stands for and its policies as opposed to engaging in the media celebrity/leader personality cult. I think the adavantage that Salmond had and Sturgeon now has is that they can speak with conviction rather than spin - (same with UKIP - although I detest what they stand for and Farage is knob - but he is the type of knob that appeals to sections of the English electorate).. Its a whole new ball game now in the rest of UK - I don't see any negative SNP effect in Scotland with these "dirty tricks" - simply because the establish,ment/media is way of of touch or ignorant about the Scottish psyche.
  3. Lancashire ITV political program panellists all impressed by Nicola - including Rory Bremner (unionist) and also Scottish Tory Spectator guy who wants SNP to fail. England is a very different political football though - I'm constantly shocked by many views down here. Enjoyed the format and thought ITV did it very well. Much as Salmond is a legend and hero - the media don't seem able to make any shit stick with Sturgeon.
  4. I definitely agree he has issues and run-ins with various people - doesn't mean he isn't entertaining as a pundit.
  5. Why don't you stick to sucking up the Hastings brothers instead of making more totally stupid comments on here. Why does it matter if I live in England and cant vote for SNP - I'm perfectly entitled to move back to Scotland at any time. I was making a comment about media bias in case you didn't notice. Away and shove your Watsonians pish up your..
  6. I thought BBC had to give parity to different parties or at least proportional parity in their election coverage. Yesterday - 15 mins of election coverage - no mention of SNP except for one indirect mention by a Plaid Cymru member in a report on Wales. Today - only 10 mins election coverage - no mention of SNP whatsoever but plenty for Labour /Tory/Lib Dem/UKIP. Maybe they think by ignoring SNP completely that they will go away. Surely contravening broadcasting rules on pre-election coverage.
  7. Disrespectul to John Motson who is a complete sycophantic ar se. I might not agree with all his views but he is entertaining. As I said before much in the Roy Keane mould and I certainly wouldn't agree with Roy Keane all the time - but both of them give their honest opinions rather than try to please the mainly English audience such as Phil Neville, Lawrenson etc.
  8. Just been listening to Joey Barton as a pundit on BBC radio for the second time in as many months. Refreshing to hear someone just give his opinion as it is without holding back - he might be a psycho but certainly no thicko and wont toe the line. Surprised the BBC has employed him as they normally go for the safe option. Much like Roy Keane - who was another on ITV who just said it as it was.
  9. Id like a chorus of "Sweet Caroline" but changing the words to "Oh Bonny Scotland - doo doo doo "
  10. Game to forget - players just weren't up for it full stop.
  11. You could have put Auchinleck Talbot out there today and they would have played better.
  12. Hat trick and still pish.
  13. Ive watched far better Junior matches than this utter pish . Every single player totally rank today.
  14. Following my £77 quid on England agaianst Lithuania - my Paddy Power kitty now at £164. Was tempted to bet the half on Rangers yesterday but bottled it - so its £82 quid on Scotland to be winning at half time at 1/10.
  15. My Paddy Power kitty up to £154 - so £77 on England at 1/8. Looks decent at half time.
  16. I totally agree about postal votes. There is so much suspicion around this area that proper sampling and follow up checking should be done.
  17. "We will cover this major political story for our audiences on all platforms with the best journalism and the highest levels of accuracy, objectivity and impartiality" says John Boothman, BBC Scotland's head of news and current affairs.
  18. Aye same flight Paul from Istanbul to Tbilisi. Think I get in on the Tuesday about seven o'clock - I'll give you a shout beforehand and mebbies catch up with you lot for a beer. Who's in your crew this time?
  19. You lot should sit down and behave yourselves. I'm taking a back seat in this one. Somebody called Flure son!!!!!!!!!!!! FFS pal - you must be in a nursing home.
  20. Where's the problem? Irn-Bru has sponsored rugby league for several years. Its the biggest sponsor of rugby league's magic weekend where all the teams play at the same venue over a weekend - free Irn-Bru dished out in the fanzone - unfortunately just the plastic bottle stuff made in Wakefield not the real stuff in glass bottles made in outskirts of Glasgow .
  21. I'll see you folks on the 18:50 - Istanbul to Tbilisi flight on the Wednesday. That's the final flight done. Gatwick - Istanbul - Pegasus Airlines on Tues 1st. - £42 Istanbul - Tbilisi - Turkish Airlines - £62 - Wed 2nd - £62 (gives me a day in Istanbul ) Tbilisi - Gatwick via Riga - Air Baltic - Sat 5th - £124 . Just the hotels to go and train from Newcastle to Gatwick.
  22. I agree with Mario. If the Tories get in then we have a referendum on Europe which should result in UK coming out (unless MI5 intervene like the Scottish referendum). From a Scottish point of view another Tory government can only enhance SNP voting. Any sort of coalition will give Labour a chance to recover in Scotland. Love seeing Salmond on TV noising up the establishment. At the moment they can't help themselves with the "jockbashing". I don't know how much of n impact that has in Scotland but its certainly rife in England. Larky Masher should be on TV - he would wind up any fooker.
  23. I'm a neutral as far as these two teams are concerned - but why does the media refuse to condemn Gerrard - just because he apologises they start heaping effusive praise on him for that. He's had some moments of individual brilliance but never been a team player. Silly as fook today.
  24. I have to confess I didn't watch the game - listened on Talksport - they thought he had a shocker on most decisions apart from Gerrard.
  25. Martin Atkinson the ref has a total shocker a few weeks ago in Chelsea Burnley match - yet up he pops refereeing what is potentially the biggest match in terms of rivalry in the EPL. Apart from the Gerrard sending off - he has another shocker. Refereeing in the EPL and SPL generally is awful. It must go to their heads when they reach the top of the referee scale .
