I saw Chris Wilder talk about him after they played Southampton. He said something along the lines of “He was a bit of a loose cannon when he was with us (at Sheffield Utd) but he’s turned himself round and become a very good player”. If someone can go from being a loose cannon to a decent player they can go from being someone that didn’t want to commit to playing for Scotland at that time to someone that is happy to commit to the team now. Some people grow up. I’ll support him if he plays for us then judge him fairly once I’ve seen him play a few games. Am I allowed to say this as I didn’t vote in the poll?

Rangers would have struggled with 11 players. Decent side. Didn’t they knock London out in the last round Ramy?

Here’s a thought. Why not get a T-shirt printed with ‘I am Chripper’ on it. Then wear it to the next Scotland game we’re all allowed to attend. I’m sure there’d be no risk, perceived or otherwise. Then come on here afterwards and tell us all about it

Just read it back. Might have over egged it a bit saying he’d stop Rangers in their tracks. I shouldn’t really have mentioned Rangers, it’s more about what he could do for Celtic. I think he’d be very good for you.

Don’t be fooled by Sheffield United’s season. Wilder is a top manager and better than any of the names I’ve seen linked with the job. A couple of poor signings this season that people will point to and say he had the Prince’s backing but he didn’t. He knew what needed to be done but he wasn’t supported and that’s why he left. He’d have brought them back up next season no problem. I’ve heard Celtic, Newcastle and also that he has a lot of contacts in America but he’s too young and too good to go to America just now. Celtic would be perfect for him Ramy and I’m sure he’d stop Rangers in their tracks.
