  1. We did have a captain with a set of balls exactly like Scott Brown... But they weren't actually that big a set of balls, because he walked out on us twice because he didnt like getting beat. He's a fanny... Every bit as much of a fanny as Fletcher, Snodgrass, Mcgregor and Tierney
  2. Scott Brown can take a fuck to himself
  3. I don't agree that McKenna was a 'calamity'... One or two moments where he rushed what he was doing but he hardly had a nightmare
  4. The manager could change formation... He could play Tierney as a sweeper behind two of our lumbering centre backs for example. The manager has a huge part to play... Deciding tactics and formation is every bit as important as the individual players involved
  5. I worry about the lack of height on the left side of that defence... Tierney playing in a back 3, I'd be comfortable with, not sure as a back 2 though
  6. It's the main issue as far as I can see
  7. Left back is more than adequately covered, Goalkeeper could be better but not absolutely shite, midfield and wide areas we are as strong as we have been for years, while up front if we get support to the lone striker we might just avout get away with it... Right back was previously my big concern but I think Palmer has nailed that position as his own, with Ryan Jack also a possibility there. Right now though, centre back is my main issue... We seem to have a plethora of centre backs who are on a range from 'OK' to 'total dugmeat'. McKenna, Gallagher, Devlin, Findlay, Porteous, Bates, Souttar, Hanley are probably the main names in contention...possibly throw Tierney into that mix too. How does the manager fashion a decent pairing out of those names?
  8. Me too... Big Declan had another good game, but I'd fear for him in a match against a team that weren't rotten
  9. He was given a shitey pass, and lost the ball in the middle of the pitch... There were a few folk at fault for the goal
  10. Great performance from him tonight... He's nailed down that position as his, now that Tierney is a prick and SOD is dugshite
  11. Neither are up to much in my opinion...
  12. Aye, he's nae Stuart Findlay😂
  13. It's almost like they want to believe it
  14. The talk is he is making demands to play at left back... Probably the only position on the park that we can afford to lose this guys services. He shouldn't be invited back to another squad... The boy is an absolute arsehole
  15. I'd put money on you leading Celtic to a treble most seasons
  16. Add to that the inclusion of McKenna and Naismith after long term injuries, the Tierney thing stinks...
  17. It's because he doesn't want to be a right fitter
  18. Winning a treble treble in our pish poor, lop-sided league means the square root of fuck all, in fitba terms really
  19. I may be slightly harsh on Jack (though I don't see him displacing any of our midfield) but the tims in our squad are perennial shitey bags
  20. ... And here lies the problem that my son and I were debating last night, when he asked me what my Scotland team would look like. Not a Rangers or Celtic player in sight as far as I'm concerned... They love being the flat track bullies in our piss poor league, skelping teams with a fraction of the resources, but put them into the national side, or lo and behold, ask them to move to a competitive league and they fold like deckchairs. I'd consider Jack as an option at right back, but in no way would he get anywhere near a starting Jersey in midfield for me, as that's our strongest position with 4 or 5 options coming from the EPL.
  21. Turnbull will be back around January time I believe, if he can re-capture the form he had prior to his injury then he'd be a great choice for Scotland. Hornby v McBurnie? I take your point, but we'll see what the next year brings
  22. In a years time I'd like to see us play a team of; Liam Kelly Soutar McKenna Tierney McTominay Fraser Gilmour. McGinn Robertson Turnbull McBurnie Looks like a very decent starting 11 to me...if Liam Kelly can push on at QPR, if McKenna and Soutar get back to form after injury, if Tierney can push his way into the Arsenal side, if Turnbull can get over his injury.
