  1. Saw it in one of the daily record articles about there being comfort in “10 warm up” games. If those nation league games are warm ups then what are the competitive games?! Logically we do stand a better chance against Albania,Israel,Hungary and Serbia than the qualification proper games bearing in mind again it’s the top 2 qualifying. You can bet your bottom dollar given our current seeding pot we’ll draw a couple of top teams in that! Win our nations league group and we’re two games from Euro 2020 against similar opposition. This should be the top priority.
  2. Just to simplify this process for the sfa and our current manager who (absolutely astoundingly don’t seem to be taking this tournament seriously):given the quotes in the media that Mcleish will have 10 games to warm up. Absolute bollocks he will-these nations league games are paramount. Should Scotland win group one we would then progress to a semi final against one of the other 4 league c group winners & should we win that we would reach a final playoff against the winner of the other semi final to reach Euro 2020. This IS by far and away the most realistic route to Scotland qualifying as we’ll probably draw France/Italy/spain etc in the ultimate qualifying group with only the top 2 qualifying from the group. If we do win group 1 it’s likely based on recent form;the other group winners would be Serbia, Hungary and Slovenia making up the semi finals. Glad to clear that up.
  3. Okay having calmed down after the anger of this appointment;I’ve just had a look at the raft of talented centre backs coming through at the moment;Jack Hendry at Celtic , Scott McKenna at Aberdeen , souttar at hearts Liam Lindsay at Barnsley & Liam cooper at Leeds in particular & have done a bit of a 360 on our prospects. I’d say there’s now a more than half decent squad there with some strength in every department so it wouldn’t take a managerial genius to get them to make the playoffs. Mcleish is a charmed man indeed. Basically get the team full of the Celtic top performers, sprinkle in some added experience and I think we’re looking at overall the youngest & strongest squad since 1997. No excuses left now.
  4. ffs 😂 Okay disband. Big eck’s a good guy but a bit busted flush tbh. Given it’s Fecking easy to qualify though, let’s hope he just manages to fail to nearly get to the nearly qualifying spot in the group(s). Let’s not pretend that’s a hope,it’s a given. Disband after.
  5. Appointing mccleish would be an epic fail of an appointment. Expect no less from the complete and utter mess that is the sfa though. It would be a huge step back from strachan. They should be at least approaching Lars lagerbeck or slaven bilic. In all honesty Neil Lennons also a far more credible candidate than mccleish.
  6. You as well you complete spanner.
  7. Miserable, negative, bad time/irritating situation...spend 5 miles walking on a night out to a club that is shut when you get there craving type post. I hope your not as tragic in real life pal. Lets face it we’re way beyond the “we’ll never qualify” type comments & posts. Posting them is irrelevant and you’re hardly an effing genius for thinking it... Its time for “let’s get to a tournament or completely disband”type post rather than your half arsed repetitive and completely mind numbingly boring “we won’t qualify” posts. Ps GIRFUY we will qualify....if not disband so at least we don’t have to put up with this Groundhog Day Ian Crocker & davie provan horror show sky commentary nonsense every few months.
  8. Do you not have fun at the football? Bizarre argument to go with tbh.
  9. Re this I like the sound of it. Get alternative sponsors on board, give it a cool name like the global cup or something and f*** Fifa.
  10. The equivalent of saying too many people are interested in fun.
  11. Another international role is undoubtedly the safest choice for Michael o neill. You get much longer in international football & we have all seen how ridiculously ruthless premiership chairmen are nowadays. It isn’t beyond impossible for Michael o Neil to go to a Prem club then have a bad start & be sacked. If he takes another national job he will get more time as a guarantee. If I was Michael o neill I would only take a club role with a chairmen and board that don’t sack easily and those are few and far between-so he should wait until that option is on the table regardless.
  12. Both players certainly deserved of inclusion.
  13. This. It’s an absolute back of the net. If the team lives up to the kit,it’s happy days!😁
  14. What exactly is poor mans about the guy who basically started off the positive era for Iceland right now?? There’s nothing poor mans about him. Pay off Norway and get him in now, the sfa will have to go for broke on this one.
  15. Hate to say it this early but it does haha!
  16. Difficult to select him now after rejecting the chance to play. Don't need him tbh. Tons of midfield talent we'do be on our knees begging if he was a cb or striker though haha
  17. Sky sports have had the zenophobic Ian crocker and dour David Provan as the sky commentary team for 20 years now. Ian crocker is completely withering towards Scotland in every single game. His go to phrase is "OH YOU JUST KNEW IT WOULD HAPPEN WITH SCOTLAND" OR "SCOTLAND RARELY MAKE IT EASY DO THEY?" Why anyone in Scotland puts up with his sarcastic and withering commentary is completely beyond me. Crocker has provided the soundtrack to 20 years of Scottish football failure and I'll be fu***d if I'm listening to his voice ever again commentate on a Scotland game. Twenty years is long enough for any commentary team but it's absolutely bizarre Crocker and Provan have lasted that long, they're not even particularly insightful or entertaining.
  18. OKAY 'D' I didn't say 'one of the best' I said 'one of the top performers'. If you're going to be as sad and pedantic as to actually take the time and effort to look up baseless statistics to substantiate your points then at least make your quotes accurate. Mckay is viewed by forest fans as a top performer this season, they're not basing their opinion on opta stats though. Also Parklife you strike me as the wee fanny in the gang that sticks two fingers up at his rivals when he's about a mile away from danger.
  19. Laugh all you want-arrogant wallpaper. McKay is one of the top performers in the championship & scored again today. We need our best footballers in the squad.
  20. Some players who will come through in the next campaign are Gauld, Barrie McKay,Calum Paterson and olly Burke. Scotlands main problem position is Centre back. The new guy should scout the planet for centre backs with Scottish grannies as this is our key problem area which needs to be addressed immediately.
  21. We're in the position whereby we've so many good midfielders it's criminal to leave some out esp the ones who can also play up front so I'd want any new manager to pick Barrie McKay up front. The strikers for the next campaign should be griffiths, McKay & Martin as cover.
  22. Don't forget to add the pointless wee saltire in on the back of the kit to remind us what country we're from. no idea who's demanding both Scottish rugby & football teams have a tacky wee saltire tacked on at the back but it's got fail written all over it. If you must have the saltire put it on the front of the kit ffs not hidden away at the back almost apologetically.
  23. Getting Italy(if we beat Slovenia) in the playoff isn't actually a bad shout. I was randomly at the Italy v Israel game last month and Italy are in complete disarray at the moment and I would seriously fancy Scotland against them. Obviously there are better draws to be had though haha!
