  1. Assuming Gilmour is the only positive case I'd hope Fleck would be the straight swap. Not a huge Fleck fan but it's the replacement with the least disruption from Friday's game. McTominay at right centre-back improved us massively in that area so would like to see him remain there.
  2. Needs to start every game for us now, phenomenal this evening. What a difference it makes having a midfielder constantly showing for the ball and looking to turn and pass forwards every time he gets the ball.
  3. Second this. A back four would be another Belgium at home job where superior wide players tore us to shreds.
  4. Tierney being out is a blow but don't see the team being as defensive as other posters view the line-up. Armstrong will pretty much play as a second striker with Christie dropping into the gaps.
  5. Won't be enforced, especially not when this was a last-minute decision.
  6. John Hartson during Austria v Macedonia - "Surely if you're saying that's reckless it should be more than a yellow." Laws of the game states: reckless – caution the offender for unsporting behaviour How these guys get paid to provide expert opinions whilst lacking the most basic knowledge of the rules is beyond me.
  7. Looked poor. Modric was his usual classy self but Perisic doesn't look as quick as he was and their defence is sluggish. Optimistic we can take them at Hampden.
  8. Or "clever" when Kane does his trademark backing into the defender and collapsing. Won't be saying that when they get papped out by a savvy outfit!
  9. Ridiculous that last handball in the half went to a VAR check, there'll be a dozen a game if it's going to be that pedantic.
  10. The original purpose of kneeling was for BLM. If you look at opinion polls you'll see most BAME Britons think BLM have escalated racial tensions. We need to get away from that organisation and movement altogether. It's undoing the great work over the past decades. The objection is to that, not the players who have been put up to this token gesture. I'll be applauding the standing up to racism because it's not divisive. You could say the same thing about people booing the team off. Most of us have done that at some time or another.
  11. Try having your business covered in BLM graffiti before making judgements. Idiot.
  12. Don't worry about me old bean - I and thousands of others who will be booing it will be there
  13. Which part of that do you disagree with? It's often better to engage in the point rather than name-calling; a clear sign you have nothing of substance to contribute.
  14. Precisely. No great coincidence soon after corporations shat the nest and donated huge sums to BLM that their leaders all bought huge houses. All about equality right enough.
  15. Okay Gary Lineker. It's the same exact point - you carry on living in ignorance.
  16. If you can't see why this gesture is connected with BLM then more fool you mate. The equivalent of making a Nazi salute and saying it was originally a Roman salute.
  17. Get the impression she's a nasty piece of work too. Gives dirty looks and daggers when someone else speaks. The story about her behaviour after the Women's World Cup was unsurprising.
  18. He's not great although compared to Davie Provan he's a model commentator. Imagine Provan being the last voice they hear on death row when time is up.
  19. Using your logic flying a swastika is all good as the symbol originates from a Hindu symbol meaning "good luck".
  20. Exactly, you've got to laugh at the sight of £300,000 a week players groveling around on their knees in support of an anti-capitalist organisation. Take a living wage salary if you feel that strongly.
  21. BBC punditry is brutal now. Kilnsmann should be good and think Charlie Adam is actually pretty decent in that he isn't afraid of having an opinion. The likes of rambling bore Mark Hughes and Shelley (four cliches a minute) Kerr will be grim however.
  22. Not sure how these things are calculated but surely we ought to be above Finland?!
  23. They had it right the first time with standing up to racism which we can all (minus a small number of real racists) agree with. It gets booed because of the ultimate BLM aims of dismantling the nuclear family and defunding the police. It gets booed because people have had enough of being patronised and called racist if they don't adhere to the dogma. It gets booed because it's a token gesture rather than action. It gets booed because of the rank hypocrisy of multi-millionaire footballers' self-righteous knee-taking with no qualms about playing a World Cup in Qatar. Ultimately it gets booed because we live in a free society where people can express opinions against/for these matters. You have every right to applaud it, others have every right to object.
  24. That's kind of you, thanks very much. If you looked at opinion polls you'd see fans are split around 50/50 on the gesture so certainly not a unifying gesture. Like it or not, the gesture is synonymous with the repugnant BLM organisation as per previous statements made by the FA, Premier League and Harry Kane.
