I think the food you can bring in is separate from your A4 sized bag. You need to put any food in a clear plastic bag that will be provided apparently.

I would imagine they will be checking everyone’s ID at Wembley to make sure our Covid test texts actually belong to us but not sure about Hampden. Spot checks maybe? UEFA website states passport or ID card required for both venues. Since we don’t have National ID cards in this country I’m sure driving licence will be fine. A steward would need to be a major arsehole not to accept a licence as ID.

Losing Calderwood to injury in the previous game didn’t help defence wise but the whole team were poor that day. In the end up it didn’t matter since Norway beat Brazil. Would probably have been harder to take going out if we had beaten Morocco so they provably did us a favour by pumping us.

The latest they could announce it would be today I think as it can take a couple of days for the tests to be delivered. I think the fact they won’t be opening food kiosks and are expecting people to sit in their seats for up to 5 hours means they probably won’t insist on folk taking a test they could just lie about anyway.

I forgot about Tierney and didn’t know about Turnbull. I suppose more of them could have had it and we just don’t know about it. We’ll just need to keep our fingers crossed and hope there are no positive results over the next few days.

I don’t want to tempt fate but these guys have been living with their families throughout the pandemic and the vast majority of them (all of them except Armstrong and Fleck I think) haven’t caught the virus even when it was far more prevalent than it is now. There is obviously risk involved but it’s probably unreasonable to expect people not to see their families for 5 weeks or potentially longer. Fingers crossed there are no further issues and we can concentrate on the football.

We’d be very unlucky to go out with 4 points but it wouldn’t surprise me. Two teams went through with three points last year and I suspect it will be similar this year. If we get 4 points and finish bottom of our group on GD I’m giving up.

Unless they change their minds in the next few days the food and drinks kiosks will be open at Wembley and there should be beer available although I haven’t seen this confirmed anywhere. I have seen it mentioned in a few news articles recently that Hampden will be the only stadium where beer won’t be available. That was before it was confirmed Hampden will be the only stadium where no food kiosks will be open at all. 🙄

No I woke up back in Glasgow one day and Bobby got out the shower. The last time everyone thought we had a great chance of winning our first game it didn’t go well. Mind you we badly underestimated Costa Rica. There should be none of that against the Czechs.
