  1. He suffered two serious injuries that kept him out for prolonged periods. It wasn't through lack of effort or ability.
  2. Bannan, Snodgrass and Darren Fletcher.
  3. Are any of these being recorded at all ? Tom Devine used to be a staunch unionist years ago didn't he ? Quite a journey he's made.
  4. Good player who's going through a sticky bit of form. Was good for Celtic and Scotland last season. Go on, who do we replace him with Jack or Dorrans ?
  5. No, that happens to be Kieran Tierney.
  6. Good to see a few "Jordan Archer - who the feck is he ?" and "I've never heard of him, so he must be pish" sentiments expressed online. Why is it so hard for some people to spend just ten seconds looking a player up on Google or Wikipedia ?
  7. Aye, but I bet you still get teary eyed and weak at the knees when you think of the growl of an old tractor engine and the squelch of cow shite underfoot ? Ye can take the boy oot ae Perthshire .....
  8. Are there a lot of depraved, dirty auld tory voting fermers in Perthshire ?
  9. Yves Ma-Kalambay Maurice Ross Du Wei Rafael Scheidt Mo Camara Yassin Moutouakil Bob Malcolm Ross Chisholm Capucho Filip Å ebo Christian Nade Subs: Lionel Letizi, Davide Grassi, Zander Diamond, Edson Braafheid, Emerson, David Witteveen, Jean-Claude Darcheville Cracking team of players there.
  10. Give it an hour or so and you'll see the usual suspects online wailing about how Danny Wilson, Lee Wallace, Ryan Jack and Graham Dorrans should have been called up Bannan, Darren Fletcher, Naismith and Snodgrass should be dropped. Got to move on from them. Pleased to see Tom Cairney is still in there. Good option from the bench.
  11. All the papers saying that Archer will get his first call up. 132 years after being founded by Dundonian cannery workers, Millwall finally get a player called up for Scotland
  12. That got me thinking about a XI (and I don't mind if it's torn to shreds). Possibly ... Gordon, Berra, Mulgrew, Tierney, Fraser, Morrison, Brown, Armstrong, Robertson, Griffiths, S Fletcher Might replace Berra with Russell Martin. I'm not a fan of Steven Fletcher but chose him because he's marginally better than Naismith, McCormack, Chris Martin and Rhodes. Other strikers must start banging them at club level and staking claims.
  13. He seems to have caught on to how people were ripping the pish out of his cringey attempts at lofty, inspirational quotes and stopped making them which is a shame.
  14. I've been highly critical of them in the past but fair play to the Green Brigade for marking "Glasgow Pride" with a large pro-LGBT rights banner at the weekend. Can't fault that
  15. Can't disagree with that. The boy is a decent club player but has been utter pish at international level.
  16. And The Herald of course is certainly not a pro-SNP newspaper by any means.
  17. I forgot to include Steven Fletcher in that list before. Despite the high hopes many of us had for him several years ago, he really hasn't been much good at international level has he really ? I don't think so. Take out those six piss easy goals against Gibraltar and he's got an international record of thirty caps and three goals. Not good. Griffiths in his last couple of matches for Scotland (he was very unlucky not to score against Slovenia) has shown he's a key player for now. Puts in the effort for the team that others in the past haven't and tries to keep it simple and not over-complicate things. Well he couldn't be any worse Scott Dobie, Kevin Kyle, Craig Mackail-Smith or Lee Miller surely ?
  18. We don't exactly have a great spread of strikers to choose from so we shouldn't write off Stevie May. Feck knows what we do if Leigh Griffiths gets injured, Stevie Naismith is past it now let's be honest, Chris Martin is not up-to international football and it just hasn't happened for Jordan Rhodes at international level either. If May can start scoring goals for Aberdeen then he should at least be given a couple of starts in friendly games to show what he can do at international level. Hell, we're that desperate, if Greg Stewart and Jason Cummings can start banging them in we should have a look at them in a friendly.
  19. The SNP holds the most seats in Holyrood, the most amount of Scottish council seats, the majority of Scottish seats at Westminster and got the most votes for any Scottish party at Westminster. Now I'm no John Curtice but that does suggest to me that more than a few people agree with them and vote accordingly. And again, you fail to take into account that strong Unionist tactical voting, the putting up of "paper candidates" by Unionist parties and voters staying at home were major factors for the reversals in June just by, the Brexit fallout was limited to only a few seats in the North East. If the SNP had the likes of you and like-minded geniuses such as that empty headed buffoon Jim Fairlie (whose twitter is full of Tories telling him what a great guy he is) and sad, bitter old Jim Sillars (a legend in his own mind) still running things, the party would be what it was in the dark days of the 1980s, a laughing stock and a total irrelevance. It would probably be for the best if you did vote for another party seeing as how you don't seem to agree with many of the SNP's policies. That's me trying to be constructive here and pointing out the facts for you. That avoid talking about Brexit policy really is one monumentally stupid idea and then some. What about those nasty Europeans eh ? Oppressing our poor fishermen
  20. Christine Jardine now allegedly facing the same scrutiny over election spending as Jo Swinson is facing. Sorry to go all Kevin Keegan here but I would love it, just love it if some dirt was made to stick on that charlatan Swinson.
  21. It's probably just people on twitter putting two and two together but Snodgrass to Aston Villa on loan has come up. Btw have Liam Lindsay and Stevie Mallan actually played for Barnsley yet ? Same goes for Callum Paterson at Cardiff ?
  22. Good point. Not many people have picked up on the fact that Scotland saw a 4.7% decrease in turnout. Some people that voted SNP in 2015, stayed at home on polling day.
