I'm not saying this is what has happened but if he needs to be "convinced" to play for Scotland then we can do without him. I'd rather have players that know they want to play for us and would run through brick walls for the jersey.

The over reaction from a significant number of Rangers fans has been ridiculous. There are still serious question marks over Beale's ability to win when it matters and his signings this season have largely failed to hit the mark but emptying him at this stage would be farcical. And what happens when the new guy loses a couple of Euro games and the next Old Firm? Do we punt him before Christmas as well? He's got a good chance of adding the 3rd bit of silverware in 11 years so I'd give him that opportunity. If we get to Christmas and we're well off Celtic and haven't won the League Cup then he'll likely have made the boards minds up for them.

Defeated by the midges trying to climb Ben Lomond on Saturday. We got about an hour in and it was just ridiculous. Loads of people were coming down saying it was even worse further up and that they'd turned back. They were absolutely everywhere and getting in hours eyes, mouths, ears etc. I've got a photo where my arms are black from the amount of wee buggers all over me. Really disappointing as I'd been looking forward to it for ages but we'll be back outside of midge season!

Was at the Ben Ottewell gig at King Tuts last week. First time I've seen him since I saw Gomez (twice) at Glastonbury in '98. He played all of Bring It On acoustic. Always been one of my favourite albums so I was like a pig in shit. He also hinted about Gomez releasing some new material soon and touring it which would be amazing!

Sparta Prague win tonight means Rangers are in Pot 1 for the EL draw tomorrow. Means we avoid the likes of Liverpool, West Ham, Roma, Atalanta, Leverkusen, Villarreal and Ajax. A welcome silver lining after last nights debacle.

Celtic get Feyenoord, Atletico Madrid and Lazio. Tough but could have been a lot worse.

Thankfully I didn't see the game last night. Didn't expect us to get through but also didn't expect a humbling like that. The financial aspect aside I'm "glad" we didn't go through as if that's the kind of chasing we're getting from a team like PSV I shudder to think that the CL teams would have done to us. Have absolutely no idea what to expect from Sunday now either. Prior to last night I'd have had us as slight favourites due to the way Celtic have started and the home advantage but no idea now. Thankfully I'll be halfway up Ben Lomond so won't have to think about it too much!!

Seems he’s more likely to be going to Sociedad. Harry Souttar to Rangers on loan is our latest rumour. Wondered if Celtic might go for him given Rodger’s signed him for Leicester although he is a big bluenose.

I see Celtic are linked with Luis Palms who Rangers have been linked with for the past year or so. Decent numbers but not sure he’s the standard of player I expected to see Celtic going for (if they do).

Do you think they're maybe angling to try and get Tierney as the "marquee" signing? Seems to be gathering a bit of pace although I'm not sure I'd be overly happy with that as a Celtic fan. He's obviously a very good player but would be quite expensive and spends a lot if time unavailable. As a Rangers fan, if he is your marquee signing I'd be relatively happy with that.
