I said it in another post. England put up their best performance of the year last night. We gave our worst.
They had a relatively easy game on Saturday. Ours was a bruising.
As hard as it is to lose to them, we've had one of our best years for a long time. We are going into the remainder of the campaign with anticipation. In the last couple of campaigns, we were already doomed by this time.
Roll on 2015.
Unfortunately we had our worst performance of the year and they had their best.
Despite the hurt of getting soundly beaten by them, it was probably the best time to throw in a woeful performance, when it really didn't matter.
The 76 game was my first Scotland game (what a debut)
I was also at the 85 game.
Only missed one home game V Them since 76. I think it was the 82 game.
Well, strangely, they have more interest in this game than their qualifier against Slovenia.
They see their group as a Bye to France 2016. I tend to agree.
They see their group as a formality, hence see us as more of a challenge.
It was a great atmosphere around the city all day. All the Irish lads I spoke to pre and post match were sound guys.
They took defeat very graciously too.
Looking forward to the trip to Dublin for more of the same and the same result too.
Certainly not the invasion that they warned us of.
They were a great bunch though. The guys I spoke with during the day were all sound and seemed to be having a great time.
They also took defeat very graciously.
Just finished night shift.
Into bed, hopefully sleep until 10 (doubt it though)
Quick sh1t, shower & shave.
Into the car, pick up neighbours.
Into hotel at Bearsden for 1 o'clock,
Kilt on, quick pint then Iron Horse for 2.
Then take it from there.
Or be ready to book as soon as the flights become available.
I got flights from Inverness to Dublin for £89, Friday to Sunday on the morning they became available. The same flights are now £339.
I got Aberdeen-Gatwick-Zagreb and return for £140 last year.
Hi lads. I've cancelled the one on Parnell Sq. based on the south side advice. But I have another option, Hardings Hotel which I think is in the Temple Bar district. I know you guys say avoid it but it is actually the cheapest of my 3 options. It looks a cracking hotel.
What would you advise? TB, St. Stephens green or near Trinity College.
