  1. Nothing negative? Obvious penalty given away and only saved by the officials cataracts?
  2. Well, how did he do today? I didn't see the game as I was out bowling with the kids. Was he man of the match or useless aggressive lump?
  3. I thought I'd read somewhere that Rooney had been a promising boxer in his youth? If so he definitely picked the right career path as he's got a glass jaw.Bardsley doesn't look like much of an actual boxer ducking way too low and would get warning off a ref for that. It'd also be a breeze to rabbit punch him and claim it was accidental.
  4. The fact this Minty bloke is pushing this as the excuse is mind boggling! It basically says he meant it but since we've been pulled up on it we need to say anything and the media will back us.Racist Kunts.
  5. You'll need better bait than that to get a bite. That's more obvious than VVD being transferred to a mid EPL team in the summer.
  6. I didn't threaten, I merely mused on the possibility. I'm too tight to pay for repairs so wouldn't have done it. Probably.
  7. Yep, this lot were amongst them but sadly there were others. You'd have to be a right mental clown to get banned by the Orange Walk!
  8. I don't think so. They weren't wearing the usual gear or the incredibly camp orange sashes. Quite a few of them had uniforms reminiscent of WW1 British soldiers including the bandage like long socks. Anyone got a Hummer I can borrow. I'm sure quite a few of them will still be at the gathering point near Decathlon.
  9. Just been stuck behind these bellends as they marched through Renfrew. At first I thought it was an Orange Walk but after a minute I had read a couple of the drums and identified them as the British Ulster Alliance. Never heard of them before but from their pretend historical military uniforms I'm guessing they're some sort of extra racist group with Orange overtones. Now seriously beginning to regret not just gunning the engine and running the Kunts over. Wife might have been annoyed with the damage to her car but I'm sure she would have forgiven me. Anyone seen this mob marching recently?
  10. Fair point. I was just thinking of the post night out pictures thing.
  11. I don't want an apology from you. You generalised and made a fool of yourself. You know nothing of me but made stereotypical assumptions. I couldn't give a toss for the Falkland Islands but I do care about the people who live there and those that died defending it. Your ability to criticise people openly comes from the sacrifice of the soldiers like those that died in 1982. Oh, and I cheered when that old witch died. Not proud of it but she destroyed my father's life with her policies so f*ck it.
  12. There's at least 2 AA meetings on Islay that I know of. If you need them they will help you. I would recommend a long walk on any one of the many beautiful beaches and then a good feed at Port Mor. If you've got too much time to fill just now, then you could try some volunteering at your local food bank? It'll maybe help you to get more control on your life? Whatever you do stay safe and good luck.
  13. Exactly. No one knows if it'll affect his day job yet. If he's pish or gets a red card in the final then what will the Celtic fans say?As I've said it doesn't matter that it's Brown. It's the fact that Scottish players and apparently the majority of their support still think it's big and clever to get pished and eat kebabs. These guys are paid a huge wedge to be 100% committed to the job. It seems they just aren't. I'm betting quite a few Rangers players have been doing something similar this season too. They just haven't been caught out yet.
  14. Exactly. This type of behaviour is probably common place amongst Scottish footballers and we wonder why we struggle? Just not smart enough or professional enough to really excel. And that's not aimed just at Brown. There's been plenty done the same over the years.
  15. Both my parents died alcoholics and you don't want that, trust me on this. My father-in-law had been a non-performing alcoholic for over 15 years now but it was a hard road. The guys are right, admitting the problem is the first step and wanting to change comes next. Please go to an AA meeting. They are good people and they will help you. It won't be easy but you can do it. I'm sure your Mum would help you again in any way she can. You just need to keep trying. Good luck.
  16. Thanks for this, it actually cheered me up a good bit. ?
  17. Hmmm, where to start? Billy Brit? So you're another one of the sweeping generalisation idiots then? Let me explain something that's actually quite simple, so you should get it. Not all Rangers fans are unionists. Just because I don't have a Yes or 45 avatar doesn't mean I didn't vote yes. So, as a campaign worker for Yes, a Scottish nationalist and a member of the SNP I find your comment laughable at best. I was merely pointing out that despite Clarkson being a bit of a dick what Top Gear did was no worse than what the Argentines did. Too many folk on here desperate to be offended and mope. Now, when you grow up you can think back to this moment and realise you know nothing of the people on this board and you have been a bit of a dick too. ?
  18. Insulting Argentine war dead? Are you being serious? Did you feel the same outrage when prior to the London Olympics the Argentina Hockey captain filmed a covert add in the early hours of him running through Port Stanley as a GIRFUY to our war dead? It's an attempt at shock value humour that failed badly. No more, no less. You must be very sensitive to feel so upset by such a stupid TV stunt.
  19. I have The Long Mars sitting on my bedside table in my "to read" pile and I've just finished Stephen King's Doctor Sleep. I can't bring myself to start on Long Mars now despite really looking forward to it. It's the only STP book that I haven't read yet. Every birthday and Christmas has been marked by me getting the new STP book. I'm going to miss the great man's mad view of our strange world.
  20. Start with "Guards, Guards!!". It's not the first discworld book but it's one of the early ones and it's a magnificent story which will make you laugh out loud. Be careful reading it on public transport, you'll get odd looks.
  21. Totally agree with this. This guy is a total tw@t that should be nowhere near the club. But if you find the picture offensive then you'd probably be better not looking down in the shower.
  22. I've been reading his books since they first appeared in paperback. My favourite author bar none. Knew he was ill but still shocked that he's gone. I will think of him every time I start a new book now.
  23. He'd certainly put some much needed fight in the dressing room! ?
