  1. I now have an iPod which is great news for the neighbours. Not so great for my family as Elton has been binned and I now screech my way through the Artic Monkeys back catalogue, much to my daughters disgust. Some folk rev up chainsaws during their mid life crisis , some listen to the Artic Monkeys.
  2. If Wembley goes as bad as I fear I think I will just send my season ticket back to the SFA and tell them to give the tickets to school children. Enough is enough. I wouldn't even go to London if I hadn't already booked the flights plus tickets for, of all things, Les Mis . Of course, if by some miracle we turn things around by next June I will be chasing those weans down the street for my tickets.
  3. I thought weird was good .
  4. Which is fine if he was auditioning for the role of Roy Chubby Brown . And weird is fine is he was a relatively benign character such as those on the 'weird neighbours ' thread. But he could be the next president of the US. You have got to be on the wind up thplinth. I enjoy your direct or leftfield posts but these views are off the radar. The guy is a throw back to the 50's. Mad Men indeed. I do concede the alternative is equally sinister right enough.
  5. Politics aside, any man who is happy to let another bloke call his daughter ' a piece of ass ', and agree with him, is a creep of the highest order. If that doesnt finish him off I dont know what will.
  6. I completely agree regarding the stagnation but I dont believe the drink/ characters is any diffferent than it was in the 70's/80's. Fans were getting shit faced then but the football was better so the focus was not so much on the antics of the fans and the atmosphere was naturally generated. With regards to 'best fans in the world' it depends on what criteria this is based. 36,000 people paying £ 30-£40 to watch a team on a Saturday night that has done nothing for 2 decades must surely be something most countries could only dream of. I have just about had it which pains me. Whilst the team produced absolutely nothing to warrant or create any kind of atmosphere it really was a dismal night, I can almost understand why some fans feel they need to get out their face to watch it.
  7. Hahah i was just waiting for someone to bite ? I cant disagree tho .
  8. Think I would rather be surrounded by weird neighbours than intolerant scumbags like Renfrew blues neighbours. At least there is a bit of interest in a mad man with a chainsaw. Last place we lived i was told 'this is not Ferguslie Park' when some old biddie across the road complained about me playing Elton John loudly on a Saturday afternoon. I could be wrong but i am not entirely sure that was the best analogy she could have given. The snobbery was abhorrent though. The village nearly went into meltdown when an ice cream van started coming round at the weekends. The kids loved it but the parents were horrified. Another old biddie chased my daughter and her friends down the street screaming ' shoo, shoo , and take you horrible sticky toffee papers with you ' . Taxi for Dyer.
  9. I have a ticket for this but cant manage. I am able to transfer it to someone else but you would need to collect the ticket from me tomorrow in Glasgow. If you are interested pm me. I need your name, ssc mumber , date of birth and email address to transfer it.
  10. Work in Queen st will be there all day tomorrow.
  11. West stand ticket B4 row DD. £20. Anyone interested get in touch.
  12. ? I really wish i could make my smiley face wobble.
  13. Because 2 threads on a aimilar subject have been closed down. Quite possible this will go the same way. Thought that was pretty obvious tbh.
  14. How long before this thread gets closed down? ? No, I dont think there should be applause. Fine for a Rangers game but do not see the relevance for Scotland or where does it stop.
  15. Not sure if he still lives in the same area but when my daughters were in primary school he did the commentary for the P7 football team when they played their rivals on gala day. I never found him particularly funny on radio but he was hilarious at the football commentary. I am surprised he didnt get a kicking by one of the parents. Would defintely give him the benefit of the doubt.
  16. Was he originally Davy Braden and had to change to Braden Davy to be a Tory ?
  17. My friend called me last Saturday. She was out shopping with her sister and her sisters car had broken down. My husband is an auto electrician so he went out to help. Yup, they had run out of petrol. Worse still, a few years ago this same friend rode off in her car which had a wheel missing. Someone had nicked the wheel . The missing wheel was on the drivers side. She is however the funniest woman i have ever known .
  18. ? And heres me trying to steer the conversation away from her 'chebs'. From now on my ' lips ' are sealed.
  19. I suggest you request the assistance of our resident ghost buster, Jenblueeyes. Have you checked behind photoframes for clues ?
