  1. I kept a paragraph between my 2 points deliberately. I am not just referring to covid when comparing us to America , I am meaning in general. We most definitely are picking up a lot of their traits and not the good ones. There are decent people in America too, but we are becoming a dumbed down nation IMO due to all the shite on social media etc. I realise most people are doing the right things, my beef is with the folk who are moaning their heads off because they cant go to a football game or a Hogmanay event. There are really very little restrictions. How the hell would these folk survive in countries with constant restrictions due to poverty etc.
  2. The UK is quickly becoming America, not a good move IMO. My niece is a nurse, she only finished her training a year ago , she has been drafted in to help out in another ward for 6 weeks as there are so many staff off with covid or stress, she was looking after 15 patients the last few days, double the amount she should be looking after. People just do not seem to understand the knock on effect the virus is having on the NHS, they only see what they personally are being deprived of. When they are deprived of a hospital bed or an operation they may then realise.
  3. It amazes me how little respect some folk have for others, and how people cannot adapt to some basic restrictions for a period of time. It is the modern world where people think the world evolves around them and their needs. There were half a dozen wee neds in central station yesterday, none with masks on , walking through the station passing vapes to each other and blowing their smoke into the face of everyone walking behind them. I felt like saying something to the wee shites but I would be wasting my time.
  4. I have virgin too but got Now TV on free trial for a month then they extended it to 6 months half price so worth watching out for as there are a lot of good programmes. Thanks to whoever mentioned Curb your enthusiasm as very funny.
  5. ๐Ÿ˜ that is a brilliant effort. I am pretty sure there are a million things more important than a Christmas tree when moving house ! Hope you had a lovely Christmas in your new home ๐Ÿ‘
  6. I think it is Sky Atlantic but I can access it through Now TV . Its excellent.
  7. Some dog owners just dont seem to realise how frightening dogs can be to others. My nephew is petrified of them , we had him at Largs in the summer at the sea front and there were quite a few dogs not on a leash. It was like a military operation having to navigate our way past them without making the situation worse. My friends dog was attacked by a Japanese Akita a couple of months ago. Her elderly parents had him out for a walk and the Akita just appeared from nowhere and attacked her dog. The owner appeared and tried hard to get their dog off but it was so strong the owner had to go to hospital afterwards. My friends dog had a broken eye socket and bite wounds on his neck and throat but thankfully survived. Her parents were traumatised by the experience , the owner was distraught and got his dog put down immediately , a terrible situation for all concerned. Sometimes its an accident when dogs get out without a lead, they can maybe escape from the house through an open door, but when they are taken out they should always be on a lead. All that said I love dogs and the world would be an even angrier place without them.
  8. She probably had to take them out as the bull was lying in the field scratching his arse and ogling the totty around him.
  9. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Thats possibly the one exception I would make for using the word. Along with ROY CUNTโ€™ of course ๐Ÿ˜ And Rees Mogg Cunt. And Javid Cunt. And Thatcher Cunt. And Raab cunt. Meh, maybe I donโ€™t mind it so much after all.
  10. I will ask Mr Tidy when he gets home. It will cost you though, he sacrificed his entire Oor Wullie collection for the information.
  11. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Merry Christmas David, from a very unattractive nationalist ๐Ÿ˜Š
  12. I am afraid for you the โ€˜nationalistโ€™ party has progressed from a few extremists 50 years ago to a significant number of ordinary people who simply want to run their own country. By โ€˜own countryโ€™ I mean Scotland, not Great Britain. Thinking it will go underground is something only The Scarecrow would be confident of.
  13. Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you all manage to stay covid free ( too late SQ ๐Ÿ™) and enjoy the festive period . @slasher I hope things get better for you in the New Year . I enjoy your posts on here and the fact you say exactly what you think ๐Ÿ˜Š This gives me another excuse to post the 2020 TAMB xmas party video starring @slasher@Big Ramy 1314 @McTeeko @Tiny Tim @killiefaetheferry. 14. Wtf . Going on strike. What for, more money ? ๐Ÿ™„ Absolute joke.
  15. ๐Ÿ˜‚ unfortunately i dont think you are referring to my young teenage looks ๐Ÿ‘ต I did wave a scarf when Les died and stuck a few songs on Spotify.
  16. A very true statement. Even folk who start out with good intentions inevitably get sucked into the shit. Why anyone would want to be a politician is beyond me. However we are stuck with what we have and I dont see many realistic alternatives . Comparing Alex Salmonds achievements to Nicola Sturgeons ( not you ) is not particularly helpful. They led in completely different times and had different obstacles to overcome . Salmond did really well and made real improvements, though I imagine even the Lib Dems would have been an improvement on the previous Labour government at that time. Sturgeon took over the job at a time where Scottish politics was split down the middle and the SNP a far greater threat . Political opponents are less likely to play ball. And like it or not the world is becoming more โ€˜wokeโ€™. The things that are happening in many large companies are all getting geared towards these ideologies. Its fine to criticise though , we are paying the governments wages and have every right to, and there is plenty to criticise . But its not a job I would want and I doubt many on here would either. I do agree with those who feel the SNP votes will be affected badly unless things improve.
  17. Anyone who dares support NS on here is classed as a fanboy by certain posters , its tedious and lazy. Like you the SNP is a means to an end for me, I daresay it is for a large number of people. I dont mind NS but neither do I idolise her. I stopped idolising people when I took down my Bay City Rollers posters.
  18. The public are moaning about every single leader in every home nation regarding covid. Not one of them has the public completely onside. In Scotland the political situation exacerbates it even more than other countries. Boris Johnson is doing no better , anyone who thinks he is is out of touch with what is happening down there. I speak to people in England every day and I have yet to hear one with a positive opinion of him on Covid. They criticise his weak leadership and constant indecision. And I know most of them are Tories. However this should not be a competition between the countries , IMO they should be working better together on this there is far too much oneupmanship, particularly between Johnson and Sturgeon. But ultimately there will always be folk who think they know better. Maybe they do and if so should perhaps throw their hats in the ring at the next election.
  19. Since I am not a scientist I will bow to your better judgment.
  20. I agree , they have. I was just highlighting the point you have some folk saying NS has gone too hard and some thinking she has not gone hard enough. You will never ever please everyone. The new Welsh law fining employees not wfh and fining employers for not allowing staff to wfh without good reason, is pretty bold.
