Labours New Dodgy Dossier
aaid replied to giblet's topic in Anything Goes - Other topics not covered elsewhere
I'm surprised Blair McDougall's still employed by SLab, given he was a Murphy appointment. Maybe he put this together while he was working his notice. -

Misguided perhaps, hardly maniacal though. -

Some of it - a small proportion - is pretty distasteful. The majority though you would have problems in a court of law proving they were offensive. I think the Labour Party could have problems if people were to sue for libel. -

At least one former regular poster from here on it. Seriously 90% of it consists of using the words Traitor or Quisling about various SLab types -

It's even more embarrassing than you think it's going to be. Real tinfoil hat stuff. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8pgsDnnhXOKZmprZi10enJTak0/view?pli=1 -
Been To Tbilisi Before? What Can You Tell Us?
aaid replied to vienna2008's topic in Georgia v Scotland
The red wine is very drinkable from what I recall. -
Wranglers and Marlboro lights for Georgia.

He had four loans last season, none of which could be considered a success. He clearly has an attitude problem and if he doesn't sort that out, he'll be out of the game by the time he's 25. He's got a contract with Chelsea for another 3 years and the only future I can see for him is a succession of problematic loan moves to keep him away from Cobham and him ultimately being released. He has zero chance of coming through at Chelsea - even if he sorts himself out - as there are other players in the system that are younger and better than he is.

I see she got a first.

I'm on those flights but from London on the way out and up to Glasgow on the way back. I think it had the benefit of being about the only flight that doesn't get into Tbilisi in the middle of the night.

John Collins Been On The Glue?
aaid replied to Angus_Young's topic in Football related - Discussion of non TA football
This thread reminds me of the old Only an Excuse sketch - when it was funny - with Tony Roper playing Tony Fitzpatrick as a car salesman trying to talk up St Mirren players. "this Lambert's a great wee runner". -
You're a big guy, physically imposing, why didn't you say something?

I'd say Hanley is pretty well established and if fit would be our first choice CB pairing with Martin.

Back To Black

Business Bad, Bosses Bad, SNP Bad. Katy Clark Good. -
From what I recall, Georgia had an 18yr old goalkeeper making his debut and it was something like 80 minutes in before we put him under any pressure. We certainly didn't attack.
-
I don't think the problems were to do with complacency in Georgia the last time. We'd just had a tough game against Ukraine on the Saturday and I reckon it was a combination of fatigue, players missing after picking up suspensions/injuries and McLeish setting up negatively that was to blame. That and the maroon strip.

Since the double headers were introduced we don't have a very good record in the second match, especially where that's an away match. With that in mind it's good that we have the Georgia match first followed by the Germany game.

Easyjet - Bunch Of Wankers
aaid replied to popkean1314foreva's topic in Republic of Ireland v Scotland
Fair enough and that's what the compensation is in place for. However the OP seems - unless I'm reading it wrong - to be looking for redress for consequential loss when it isn't apparent that there is any. If I'm flying to Belfast and then taking an onward train journey which I miss because the flight is delayed and I have to pay for alternative onward travel to Dublin, then I would be entitled to compensation for that (I've no idea if the regulations cover that but that seems fair to me). However, if I'm rebooked on to a flight direct to Dublin, which means I don't have to take the train, I'm not subject to any additional expense in getting to my ultimate destination so I'd be completely unreasonable in looking for a refund of the train ticket, which I'd paid for but not used. -

Am I reading this right. You want compensation for the hotel in Belfast on the Friday night and bus to Dublin on the Saturday that you couldn't use. EasyJet put you up in a hotel in Newcastle and flew you in to Dublin so while it's a pain in the backside I don't see how you're out of pocket. -
Ray Houghton was sitting behind me on the flight back to London City yesterday. He was pretty disparaging about Ireland and especially O'Neill's selection. Wasn't too positive about Scotland either to be fair.

A pointless contribution to a pointless thread.

Could have just stopped this thread there.

Seriously? Darren Fletcher, James Morrison and James McArthur are all established EPL players. I'm not saying they are going to be playing for the top clubs - although if he hadn't had the illness, I think Fletcher would still be at Man Utd - but they are all solid players. I fully expect both WBA and Palace to have decent season next year under Pulis and Pardew and for these guys to be a big part of that.
