  2. I may motor up on Friday - if all goes well - just to be part of history. Sadly, nae scoop, though.
  3. Wot he says. (That said, the police will be outside my gaffe - in vans - as per usual for Thursday/Fri/Sat nights... 'Let's all have a disco, let's all have a disco...'
  4. I did not start it - a big boy did it then ran away!!!
  5. Shanksie went Stateside. Kernie joined MI5 - of MFI. (We used to occasionally enjoy a pint or 12.)

  7. You lot did well yesterday against the mighty Aston Vanilla - arf!!! Must dash, we have the Queen's Park Rangers at OT today - wonder if they cut the lawn at Buck House before they left that Lahndan?
  8. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b04gmjl7/sunday-politics-14092014 Tommy Sheridan v Andrew Neil: 26 minutes in - no contest!!!
  9. The piece shows how low the Westminster establishment is prepared to go to hang on to the 'corpse' England is handcuffed to. It gave me the boak.
  10. I had the misfortune to witness a judicial beheading in Rihadh, some 24 years ago - it wasn't pretty. But it was quick and relatively clean The murder of those beheaded by ISIS and their ilk is neither quick nor clean. The fate of the victim, however, remains the same. The whole of the ME is a fuckup! A "war' against ISIS is inevitable, though I believe as much of it that can be undertaken by conventional air strikes should be done. I don't want to see boots on the ground: sandals on the sand - aye. Get the various arab states in the region tooled-up to do the ground work. I don't think Mr Haines stood a chance as 'we' don't pay ransoms, whereas other 'allies' do. And, as a former 12-year service, RAF chap, he was probably seen by the cowards who slaughtered him as a legitimate combatant. My condolences - for what they are worth - to his family and loved ones.
  11. I can't decide whether the Yes or No camps are being patronised here but, I reckon the readers' views are largely positive towards 'Yes'. http://www.manchesterconfidential.co.uk/News/Manchester-the-Scottish-link
  12. Sorry, but he was on The World at One on Radio 4, today - lengthy item. too.
  13. James Grant - pic 11 - has a hole in his left sock heel. But toffs being toffs, he'll have it darned and his great, great, great grandson will be wearing it in 2114. Have to say, the author of Brant's original piece is very much a made-up name... I suspect a spoof.
  14. Drink that wine then go tae bed!!!
  15. You only posted that 'cos you are with your American child bride!!!
  16. Big Taunton has just been offered a Joe Blob in a bar in Belgium. Which just goes to show that if Quasimodo had worn a kilt, he'd have got his 'Nat' off Esmerelda.
  17. Don't think he applied - but thanks for letting my mate have your spares. Just had Tam on the blower... he's left his heart tablets at home. So, he arranged a taxi to pick them up at his gaffe, drop them at mine - and I have to give them to you/Stuarty. I will not be going through customs with Tam's stash!!! (I've seen Midnight Express and I'm too pretty to got to Gaol!!!)
  18. We got sick of his whining and greetin' so we said he had to stay at home - on a tag. His sentence will be up in October, so we may let him come with us to Poland (again) then. Missing you already, Alan!
