  1. Absolutely. He could make such a difference to our team if he could get his game together. He has shown enough in certain moments to show he can do it. Hopefully the Germans can sort him out.
  2. Two goals for Burke on his debut for Werder Bremen.
  3. Sturrock was more a second striker. Tremendous player for Utd. My tuppence worth, Peter Weir was phenomenal on his day.
  4. He’s certainly a Rangers legend, no question at all.
  5. Crazy decision from Craig Brown unless there was a fitness issue. Goram was one of the ultimate big game players.
  6. I think first team football is the most important thing for him so maybe Brentford is not a bad move. My only concern is what position he’ll play. I can see him in midfield one day but I doubt an EPL team will be up for tactical experiments.
  7. Morgan never really got a proper run of games for Celtic. Rangers could do with a player like him. Big season ahead for Wright. I get the feeling he could really come to the fore. He does seem to be a confidence player, so maybe the cup final will prove to be a turning point.
  8. Got a link to the thread? I look forward to Andy Robertson turning out for Utd alongside McTominay in the double pivot.
  9. Fine, but it’s not for you to assess his eligibility.
  10. It’s like the Nuremberg trials. His mother is Scottish FFS.
  11. I have my doubts about the accuracy of that story. Not that he couldn’t be sold but the implication he is some kind of problem in the dressing room. Doesn’t ring true.
  12. I think there ought to be less uproar with McTominay in midfield. Both him (X) and Tierney (Y) can get up and down the pitch all day and reliably get to their designated spot when ball goes to point A. 🧐
  13. He would, but it shouldn’t be a problem for a top player and it would solve quite a few problems. The Dutch wouldn’t think twice about it. Van Bronkhurst of course was a midfielder but played left back for his national team and later, Barcelona.
  14. I’d have McTominay right and Gilmour doing what Barry Ferguson did. Tierney is trusted to step out into that position from centre half, I don’t see why he couldn’t stay there. He could cover Robertson, win some tackles and get into shooting positions. He can also ping a ball very accurately.
  15. I’ve convinced myself McTominay and Tierney can be part of that three (on the right and left of centre, respectively). and can easily cover for marauding full backs. Gilmour (or McGregor) can then be allowed to pull the strings. McGinn, and fairly soon, Lowry can be the inverted inside forwards, with striking legend, TBC, up top.
  16. It won’t do him any harm training at that level for a season and getting the odd cup game. I believe he’s 18 so the management will know after a few training sessions what level he can get to, although they’ve clearly seen plenty already since he’s second choice RB. The 22 shirt is a good sign.
  17. I think they’re just testing water. I think Ferguson will be sold this summer and then go for quite a big fee a couple of years later. Ramsay has now signed for Liverpool. £6.5M with £4M up front.
  18. Yup, striker is a problem. I do still like Nisbet but I think he needs a move. He’s got a calmness about him in the box and I think he would flourish with top players around him. Send him to Belgium for a bit.
  19. I’m not too worried about Souttar’s game time if fit. He’s different class. I suppose he could also play in midfield as has been discussed elsewhere. So could Tierney, Hickey or Leon King (when ready).
  20. Says more about Gemmill than it does about him.
