  1. He's a young player and his form will fluctuate. A Rangers loan player would need to play like Messi to impress his temporary fans.
  2. http://sport.stv.tv/football/1331217-scotlands-coefficient-slide-is-second-worst-in-europe-over-last-decade/ and that includes Rangers getting to the UEFA Cip Final.
  3. A wee glance at the pre, pre, pre qualifier results of the Europa league reveals diddyness on an unprecedented scale.
  4. I would generally agree with that. That said, barring injury, McKay will play for Scotland. He won't win us the World Cup, well not single handed anyway...
  5. Perhaps, but how many of the current squad can control a football? Russell Martin, Bannan, Steven Fletcher, Maloney and Snodgrass. The rest can control a ball about 50% of the time. McKay has good ability and plays with his head up and is faster than the proverbial butcher's dug.
  6. I can't imagine who these people are, but they're wrong. If you can run as fast as him, and can control a ball and pass it, you'll get a game for Scotland.

  8. Perhaps you don't want him to fail but many will. McKay will play for Scotland, not many of the current Rangers first team will, although Wallace has a chance. The other somewhat further down the line is Ryan Hardie. Good luck to them, I say. :-)
  9. I think the problem here is many would like McKay to fail even at the expense of having a very good Scotland player. At the least they'd need him to move to another club before they could even set eyes on him without having some sort of haemorrhage.
  10. http://m.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/13879799.Rangers_boss_Mark_Warburton_tips_Barrie_McKay_to_play__at_the_highest_level__after_impressing_at_Ibrox/?ref=mr&lp=7 This lad won't be far away after a couple of months in the SPFL. Pace, vision, balance, awareness.
  11. To put Murray in there is a disgrace - and surely reveals a loser, glass half-empty mentality?
  12. Not quite the point of my OP. Our downfall coincided with his omission. He is quite similar to Barry Ferguson on the ball in the way he can retain possession, although not as dominant or quite as assured. He has a bit more flair though. We miss that sort of player. Brown is erratic and can't control the tempo and Morrison tries to dribble out of situations.
  13. Nope. He would have made a difference in Georgia where we couldn't string two passes together.
  14. Not too popular on here but our form nosedive coincided with him being out the team. He's comfortable taking the ball from defenders and nudging the play along with the occasional Hollywood pass. He's suited to international football and made us tick.
  15. It might be worth a try. I can see positives and negatives. It would allow Mulgrew and Robertson to play and give closer support to Fletcher up front via another striker. We'd probably make a hash of the offside trap.
  16. Northern Ireland would be good. Incidentally, Lafferty would get a game for us.
  17. McCarthy would have been a good option.
  18. I have a need to hit google translate. This could be a new low.
  19. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/ricky-sbragia-ive-no-idea-6620236 Dear, oh dear - and doe a deer for good measure.
