  1. Hi, Looking to get 2 tickets together in Upper Tier. Can anyone help? Cheers
  2. Hi, me wife and 3 kids going to game and staying in Vilamoura. Thinking of transportation to/from the game. With us being a 5 we'd potentially need 2 taxis, which would obviously be a bit expensive! Any supporters buses running with space? :-) Advice also appreciated. Cheers
  3. Well picked up on, that's what I was thinking. IF there was a chance of ticket prices being reduced (which I doubted anyway) after all the fuss last time, that is gone now. Scotland v England WORLD CUP QUALIFIER = licence to print money for SFA. As for the draw football wise, I think its pretty good for us.
  4. I would have loved to have seen our full backs v Ireland being Robertson and Bardsley. I can't for the life of me understand why Strachan doesn't want Bardsley even in the squad. There were a few players not playing well in that 1st half, but Forsyth definately stood out.
  5. I think Scotland wanted it just as much, but it wasn't there to give.

nice gesture and good result for you guys. Cheers
  7. Totally agree Shaun. I look forward to 2015 with much optimism. I never attended tonight's game v England. It was too expensive and the team were unlikely to physically and mentally maintain what they did v Ireland, so in effect it was almost meaningless. Had the England game been a 1 off game and all players 100% fit and mentally up for it, it could have been very different. We'll never know so i'd put it out of mind now. Gibraltar and a massive game in Dublin to focus on.
  8. It is very hard mentally and physically to get yourself up for 2 big games in quick succession. Even a mediocre England were always going to beat Slovenia and even if they didn't, who cares. They will win their group without breaking sweat. We on the other hand HAD to be at our best in a 50-50 match v Ireland just to stay in touch in a ferociously tough group and then get ourselves up for a fixture against our most bitter enemy England! It is unrealistic and sometimes it just isn't possible. Nothing to do with "not showing enough fight". The players gave what little they had in their tanks.
  9. If it was a Saturday fixture every 2nd year set at reasonable prices it would sell out at a canter every time. Problem is the $FA have now set their benchmark with super high prices with many people obviously more than willing to pay it. So if they try to reinstate this is a regular fixture at current prices the attendances would slowly start to decrease and people would get sickened.
  10. Yes but he's forgiven because he scored a really good goal and he's the new kid on the block. Whereas Whitikar's reputation goes before him. Everyone feel's a bit down after tonight, but theres no point in throwing needless muck at the team. If someone had offered me these 2 results before Friday I'd have bit your hand off.
  11. copied from other thread ......... simple case of a team mainly made up of Championship level players who were a little battle weary physically and mentally from the tough Ireland game playing against a side made up of Champions League players who'd had a mediocre match v Slovenia and were right up for this one. You could see that from their tremendous workrate.
  12. This topic is nonsense. Maybe he didn't play as well as he has in the previous 2 games but half the team weren't on their game tonight, so why is Whitikar singled out? This was a simple case of a team mainly made up of Championship level players who were a little battle weary physically and mentally from the tough Ireland game playing against a side made up of Champions League players who'd had a mediocre match v Slovenia and were right up for this one. You could see that from their tremendous workrate.
  13. If they HALF the ticket prices it would be nice to have this fixture every other year.
  14. Yes it was a money making exercise, and as much as it hurt to see England beat us, the fans who paid through the nose to watch that got what they deserved. If you don't want to be milked like a cash cow, don't give $FA the money!
  15. I am not going to the game because I thought making a stand against the SFA's pricing was the right thing to do. I would have been delighted if 0 tickets were sold which would have sent such a powerful message and potentially prices would have been kept under control in the future. Sadly if it is close to capacity it shows that the SFA were quite astute and know their customers will just pay whatever is asked.
  16. This is my 1st comment on this thread. Have to say ScotsGary1 when I read your comments I was embarrassed that a fellow Scot was dishing out such insults towards the Irish, who, as others have mentioned on here, are of very similar nature to ourselves..... love their football, the booze and the banter. So yeah immediate thought was "a***hole". HOWEVER ..... fair play to you on your post today, it takes a certain kind of person to hold their hands up and apologise so you've went some way to making amends. Personally I'm looking forward to going to Dublin next year and having a few beers with some Irish lads. The guys in green that I met before, during and after the game on Friday were top folk......... although Martin O'Neil was quite unpleasant when I said hi to him after the game, but given the result I'll forgive him for that! I booed McGeady during the game, not for any other reasons other than that he turned his back on playing for Scotland and I rated him as Ireland's main danger man, so guessed that joining in with the majority and giving him a hard time might effect his game (which maybe it did!?). Apart from that don't have any strong feelings towards him and good luck to the guy in his career. I couldn't give a monkeys about relgion, politics and old firm rivalries etc etc. Any Scots who were involved in throwing coins, or abuse towards Irish fans within our end are idiots in my book and are not representative of true Scottish support. It is quite hypocritical to have a go at Irish fans in our end when we are the worlds worst at getting home end tickets at away games! So we can't complain when we're on the receiving end! At the end of the day 95%-99% of Scots/Irish are well behaved and get on with each other like house on fire. Sadly 1%-5% of Scots/Irish can behave like morons, usually with too many bevvies. Nice to think that the majority of both sides fans can self police unsavoury behaviour and stamp it out most of the time, because theres no place for it and I hope that any Scots whose behaviour let the TA down on Friday night, do not come back to future games!
  17. I wont be at England or Gibraltar games due to disgraceful ticket prices, bad kick of times and games that are meaningless. These are the best games to send a strong message that the treatment the TA have received is unacceptable. Unfortunately there are too many people who are willing to be shafted by the $FA and pay them the money anyway, which in turn means they will continue to treat us like this for as long as the team are doing well. (I would love to see the $FA attempt to get these prices out of everyone when the team is performing poorly!)
  18. Why do people feel the need to exaggerate things? To suggest that defeat in fixture 4 out of 10 spells the end of our qualifying hopes is one of the most absurd statements your likely to read. This double header with Ireland is very important. End of.
  19. The SSC used to have excellent customer service because everyone was dealt with in a more personal way. Everyone speaks highly of Marjorie (STC) and Alison Jack, who I have personally spoken to. I have never heard Anne Marie Bannon spoken about with the same affection. Only ever heard stories like the one above where members are treated with ruthless efficiency and everyone is made to feel like just a number. I certainly will not be attending the England or Gibraltar games and as said earlier my membership will not be renewed. If the games for this campaign are much lower attendances than previous it will confirm the complete failure of the SFA's pricing policy. When there are tons of empty seats and a lack of atmosphere when there was a feel good factor approaching this campaign it really makes you angry that we have such buffoons running things.
  20. I don't care whether the SSC/SFA can trace me on here because me and all my family members won't be renewing our memberships. They can stick it!! Reasons: poor customer service unjustifiable price increases the sneaky way they did it. getting everyone to renew ssc, then increasing prices 30%+ and refusing to cancel + refund memberships generally treating fans like cash cows
