Arsenal should have if they fielded a halfway competent defence and their only decent out and out striker hadn't got himself suspended in Zagreb.
Even then they missed a couple of glorious chances.
Only themselves to blame for this one.
Didn't have high expectations for this season, but this start has been way worse than could have been anticipated. The earlier we can break this run the better chance we have of getting the confidence back and overhauling the pack at the bottom.
I think Archie can turn it around, but my fear is that a defeat on Saturday could be fatal for him in the dressing room.
Give it a rest mate, please.
You were a fud to have started this thread, so why keep it going?
It's your ticket, you are traveling to pick it up and you are entitled to rip it up if you want, but why come on here and carry on a pointless discussion?
An asset as a squad player for sure, no contest and rightly so.
But not an option as a lone striker (up top).
Naismith would be better in that position, and then only if we absolutely have to.
Great stuff from McCormack tonight, but let's not kid ourselves that he could replace Fletcher.
He won't and he can't.
Two totally different players stylistically.
No - I was referring to him getting found out for taking bungs and making Arsenal into one of the most boring teams of the late 80s/early 90s.
Disliked the c*nt ever since the 1971 cup final when he dishonestly tried to take the glory for 'scoring' the winning goal v Liverpool in the FA Cup Final when replays showed he never touched the ball at all and Eddie Kelly was the actual goalscorer. Summed him up.
He scored 3 goals for Scotland? I cannot remember a single one of them.
He also suffered because George Graham came in as Arsenal Manager.
Charlei Nicholas was the total antithesis of a George Graham footballer.
And we all know what happened to George Graham.
Red Star Belgrade in 68-69. Big Jock promised JJ that if they won the first leg by 4 goals he didn't need to travel for the second leg. JJ proceeded to run absolute riot that night scoring twice and Celtic won 5-1.
Big Jock kept his side of the bargain. JJ did not travel to Belgrade for the second leg which finished 1-1.
