you can flip that rationale ……. there’s the dozens and dozens that go the lower league route and don’t make it …… talent should find a path, but you wont convince many that there’s a ‘better’ way. You make your choice and take your chance if it comes. Better coaches at more successful clubs with bottomless resources to focus on development seems a fairly sensible decision for young talent to make.

Is he out of options? Can’t arsenal just sign someone, or are there ffp considerations? why is arteta a dick, cos he doesn’t fancy tierney? I think he does fancy tierney but not his injury record.

watching Sunderland game on itv…….. has McCoist got new false teeth? Sounds like a taxi driver I used to get who always had trouble with his gnashers. -

Sunderland’s sporting director has quite a different view to most of football…… "He has an excellent and well-founded reputation for developing players and he is an outstanding progressive coach, who is aligned with our playing identity and naturally fits within our structure alongside Mike Dodds and the wider team." -

I know you are at it Malcolm, but it absolutely does not ‘depend if she has broken the law’. She is part of a group of who actively profiteer from tax payers, she is a cunt, and if you think like her then you are a bit of one too. she point blank denied this and now admits it. Tried to sway things by financing a documentary about events. She has no morals ….. it’s all about getting another £50M in her Cayman Islands account. -

L7 😆 Russian lesbos?…….. nah, that was pussy rock……. we digress …… -
Because he’s way less Portuguese than he is Scottish and maybe he’s made that clear? I think this is unlikely as they all hedge their bets and commit late…… it is a business decision to most of them.

Question of Sport

Think that was where mccoist honed his over the top, sycophantic public persona. He started decent and then blew up……. after him Dawson and Tufnell were the same. -

Best captain pairings? I’ll go Beaumont & Botham. -
Everyone’s obviously different, but I think parental persuasion counts for a lot. What is in a persons ‘heart, mind and soul’ could/should absolutely be heavily influenced by parents & upbringing. There are numerous examples of both outcomes, of kids to Scottish parents going either way. Don Hutchinson being an example of nationality defined by strong family ties, not his birthplace. I think anyone with a passion for Scotland should be pushing (yes, pushing) it on the kid and influencing as much as poss. The Fletcher and Gray households may be doing that and due circumstance the kids go the other way. That’s fair enough. I would say good luck to them individually but not to their country of choice 😏 Has been reported that Livramento’s mum is more keen on him playing for Scotland than his dad is in him playing for Portugal. That’s one box ticked but if the kid isn’t convinced then fair enough. barnes & Anderson can be forgotten as far as I’m concerned….. bin them off now.

Yep, just trying to fall in line with US. Kidding itself on that it is relevant. -

US vetoes Gaza ceasefire. can anyone explained to me how that is possible or justifyiable? what are these wallopers on that they think the world won’t out their fuckin’ nonsensical warmongering actions? Oh yeah, they are right, the UN, the world, the reasonable people will never be able to question this shit. -
No way hickey’ll be played anywhere other than left back when he returns……. and then over to the right when Henry back for brentford….. so hickey as a midfielder won’t be this season. Even for mid/end of game shuffles, if in midfield he’d be advanced rather than holding.
-
missed the point……. it’s the risk of the team collective being disrupted, not an individual thinking ‘Oi! they’ve nicked my spot’. Yes, in pure football terms gordon is a big upgrade on either of those …… but it ain’t happening and shouldn’t be allowed to happen.

Brilliant end result. Sad I know, but my pleasure at seeing England/team gb fail outweighs, by some distance, my disappointment at our women getting a total shoeing.

Discussion is great. Trying to get into the players heads…… even Clarke’s head. But this is international football, these kids …… and Barnes ……. shouldn’t have the choice. Forget all 4 that are currently in question. As Meagaidh says, togetherness of the group could well be affected. More from who’s not making the 23 rather than the addition of some English stankies.

From bbc ……… “The "extraordinary outbreak of violence" had come after "hateful assumptions" were made based on material circulating online in the wake of the stabbings, Garda Commissioner Drew Harris said. It is understood that included false claims that the attacker was a foreign national.” -

You’re absolutely right. Now being reported that the attacker wasn’t an immigrant……. it’s unacceptable that they are not stepping up to the plate as the cause and perpetrators of all problems…….. ‘kin slackers!
