Armstrong, Christie and Tierney are all out of the three matches. Massive blow.
-
This is worth a watch.

Cannot agree with that at all. One match in particular against Andorra where he looked very poor. He was always pretty poor for Celtic too.

It is bizarre. We haven't been great to watch and most matches have been laboured but we are still getting results, other than the one against the Hungarians. I think the transfer deadline might be an issue for a couple of players so hopefully we will see an improvement after today and the international break. I think we need to be playing with 2 forwards from the start in most matches. That could improve things too. -

Looks tough on paper but I think most people would struggle to name 5 AC Milan players. They finished 12 points behind Lazio last season and we beat them home and away. -

Something like Dida. It was just after we scored. -
I think I'd have called up Hickey instead of O'Donnell. I know he's only played 1 game over there but realistically, O'Donnell won't play and having Hickey in the squad would have been good for the player. Other than that, pretty much what you would expect. It's hard to make a case for anyone else.

Why do you think there are only 4 Scots left in Europe? There is Robertson, McTominay, Gilmour, Tierney, Jack, Christie, McGregor, Taylor, Forrest, Johnston and Turnbull all at a club that is still in Europe.

To put some focus on the actually games and campaign. Current table - P 7, 15 points - Czech Rep P 6, 13 points - Greece P 6, 11 points - Scotland P 6, 10 points - Croatia P 6, 4 points - Lithuania P 7, 0 points - San Marino The top 4 all play each other again, other than Czech Rep and Croatia who have played each other twice already. It's going to be really tight and I imagine we will need 10 points to win the group, with 3 of them needing to be from beating Czech Rep in the next match.

Someone at West Brom should not be working in football. That is a terrible deal for them.

So when is Porteous getting called up?

Even you don't believe that.

Rangers will be at home to Galatasaray or Hajduk Split if Steven Gerrard's side defeat Willem II on Thursday to reach the Europa League play-off round. Should Celtic progress past FC Riga, they will be away to Sarajevo or Buducnost Podgorica. Aberdeen or Sporting host LASK or Dunajska Streda, while the winners of Motherwell's tie at Hapoel Be'er Sheva welcome Viktoria Plzen or Sonderjyske. The one-legged ties take place on 1 October. -

It's no doubt tricky but better than Spurs away! -

Hapoel Be'er Sheva or Motherwell v Viktoria Plzen or Sonderjyske Could have been worse, but still can't see them getting past the Israelis. -

Sarajevo or Buducnost v Riga or Celtic It could have been worse but 2 away ties makes it very tricky. -

I'm not sure about that. We are still playing teams that have won their leagues (the way it should be). We should have beat the Hungarians but Lennon got the tactics completely wrong. The one-leg ties do make it more exciting but harder to predict who will go through. -

I've got a feeling this is going to be a really poor year for us. Celtic have already been put out the Champions League. Whilst I think we will get past Riga I wouldn't be confident if we drew Red Star Belgrade or Ludogorets away in the PO round. Rangers have got a tricky match away against Willem II and if they do get past that they'll be up against someone like Spurs, Galatasaray or APOEL. Any of them away and I just can't see them getting past them. Both Celtic and Rangers need kind, home draws to have a chance in my opinion. I can't see Aberdeen getting past Sporting or Motherwell getting past Hapoel, nevermind the teams after that. I think we will be doing well to have 1 team in the group stages this season. -
I think he will step aside after this season. He still plays most matches but probably shouldn't.
-
I can see a lot of changes next season.

He needs to earn his place in the team. Remember, Celtic have won every trophy on offer in Scotland since 2016. Its rare any player we buy walks into the team. Barkas has but we did lose two 'keepers in the summer, and Duffy has but he's simply better than what we already had at the club, in arguably our weakest position. Turnbull has a great chance to become a regular - just as Taylor, Brown and Christie have after joining from other SPFL clubs. Unless I'm mistaken, he have 6 players in the squad that joined from other teams in Scotland. 3 are the regulars I've mentioned, 1 is Turnbull, 1 is Griffiths, who has been a big part of our recent success, and the other is Bain, who has also had a chance to be our number 1. There is no doubt we have bought players in the past that haven't made it, but the same can be said of any club. Some players simply don't make the step up.

Whilst Christie can be frustrating, he got two assists last night, won a penalty and set up our best other chance. Without Christie, we wouldn't have won last night.
