  1. Says it on the website and the conformation email.
  2. That’s all I could think of unless they’re bringing the pillar from Celtic Park over. Just wondered if anyone knew as I’ve been to every stand at Hampden and never knew there was a restricted view. Find out soon I guess just glad I’ve got a ticket.
  3. Tickets that were left are “restricted view” what restricted views are there at Hampden? It’s Cat 1 which is South or North stand. Anyone know what the restriction is?
  4. Hope they're selling it in blocks and an additional allocation is available if we sell that out, 1524 is a tiny allocation for an 81,000 seater stadium. If anyone doesn’t get a ticket the SFA need to explain why they’ve taken less than the 5% as I thought that was the guaranteed amount? I’m down to 5 points having lived in the USA for three years only returned in May and I booked Russia as we should all easily get a ticket. I’ll be pretty angry if I’ve wasted money on flights, hotel and visa as the SFA didn’t take the full allocation. Certainly not going in the home end in Russia that’s for sure.
  5. Thanks for replies wasn’t aware it was 100% pick up if you lived abroad guess that solves my problem. Would normally send it to my fathers address and get it from him but he’s not going to Peru or Mexico.
  6. Hey guys currently living in the USA and managed to get the Peru game off sadly working for the Mexico one. Does anyone know if I can collect a ticket at the game as I’m not confident if it’s posted late it will get here on time. Happy to collect, has anyone arranged to do this with the SFA before? Thanks for any info.
  7. Shocking performance, not even trying to play just kick it up the park.
  8. Here are the channels showing the game. Slovenia vs. Scotland, FOX Sports 2, DIRECTV NOW, Sling Blue and fuboTV (7-day free trial) http://worldsoccertalk.com/world-cup-qualifiers-tv-schedule/
  9. Hi Fairbairn, I live in Vegas and will be heading to McMullans which is about a mile west of the strip next to the Orleans casino they should be showing the game, I hope, Certainly showed yesterday’s. Crown and Anchor will almost certainly show the England game not sure if it can show both but it will be rammed full of English fans. Feel free to join me at McMullans for a beer.
  10. Just saw this on Facebook shame to hear, not posted in ages (my old job I used to do lots of night shifts and I got 3 year job in the USA) member since 2004 although more a reader than a poster. Was always a good source of information and debate for tickets and travel. Hope you guys save / find a new forum for this. Pie and Bovril would proably be the best to use if this does go as it's not club specific and has fans from every club with a specific section for Scotland talk away from club ones which could be used for many of the topics here. Best of luck trying to save the site, if it keeps going I will remember to look in now and again. If not I look forward to seeing you all at future Scotland games 2019 onwards although getting my points back up could be difficult from 10-0 in three years
  11. How about play strikers who score goals and have some form Fletcher and Martin are totally out of form and aren't scoring, we have guys like Griffiths, Rhodes and McCormack but none of them ever get a chance up top over the last 4 years. On day one Strachan said he would pick players on form not reputation yet he does the exact opposite if a player isn't playing for his club or playing well he shouldn't be in the starting eleven as he isn't match sharp we have far too many living on their reputation who get a game no matter what. Also seems to be a few Strachan doesn't like for what ever reason Rhodes and Bardsley spring to mind. We aren't Brazil we don't have enough good players to not pick the ones you aren't pals with. For me he should be watching the club games running up to the Internationals, seeing who is playing, seeing who is playing well and then picking those players and only if we are short in an area does he call up players who are subs or reserves for their club. We don't have any superstars who should always get picked so it should be 100% on their club form.
  12. Honestly don't know where we are going wrong anymore, as a nation we are football mad per head of population we must have one of the largest football watching public's on the planet. Why aren't we producing players then? When was the last great player we produced? Wales has a population smaller than ours and football isn't their main sport yet they produce class players like Giggs, Bale and Ramsey. Ireland the same with the Keane's yet football is a minority sport there. I honestly don't know where the problem is and I doubt the SFA does either. Statistically we should be producing players better than these two examples more consistently from the pool of youngsters available alone. Where is the problem Manager? Everyone has failed since Paw Broon and his teams were hardly great League standard? It's mince but 100 times better than Wales or ROI our best players end up in England the same as theirs Culture / Diet? Can we really be that much worse than Wales/Ireland/NI in this You can blame the manager, the fans, the media but the truth is there is something seriously wrong in taking Scottish youngsters and producing footballers. Countries far smaller who aren't even fans of the game are doing something we aren't and the SFA need to highlight the problem our players have poor control and lack confidence. We have no stand outs and haven't had one for decades.
  13. No idea if they do was just an example, it came from a Dutch fan I was talking to before the 3-0 Amsterdam game who said they had a problem with it and asked if we had a similar problem with Celtic/Rangers, not sure if they do or not maybe he was full of it but there was a heck of a big police presence in Rembrandt square where the Dutch fans were pre match and very few on Dam square / Canal Strasse where most of our fans were. My experience with the Dutch fans has been 100% positive personally.
  14. Mayors of every other city
  15. Yes it does but at International games fighting sometimes breaks out amongst fans of the same Nation when club loyalties come into it (look at every England flag they all have their club team initials on them). The Dutch have a huge problem with this between Ajax and Feyenoord, I have seen England fans battle each other in London (Canary Wharf) after winning 1-0 against Paraguay and there wasn't a Paraguayan to be seen. We are lucky that we have an unwritten rule to leave club loyalties at home as other countries have issues with this. England fans often also don't help themselves as they have a habit of tying to rouse up the locals with chants, one of their favourites being 'I would rather be a Paki than a (insert nationality). Not saying they caused the trouble in France and they have gotten better but they still have a bad element especially when the game is close to home.
  16. Perectly simple 1 FA = we play in the Olympics 4 FA's = we don't The UK playing in the Olympics is unfair from a sporting point of view in any Olympics outside of a home one (Automatic qualification) as no matter how you set the team up (best 11 or play off between the 4) we have an unfair advantage in we get 4 attempts to qualify to every other countries 1. If you want Olympic football then campaign for a UK FA. How long would it be before other nations start to question team GB when in 2020 England get the qualifiying spot in 2024 While England have a bad year Wales get it and so on. It is an unfair advantage and goes against the spirit of the qualification system.

    Rankings

Just want to point out the Faroe Islands are 102nd in the world!!! That puts them in the top half, that is some achievement by them.
  18. Sorry have to disagree with you, your right that the SFA aren't likely to lower the prices anytime soon but a full house at £40+ against Gibraltar would certainly send them the message that they could push it up further and then it does start to be out of peoples price ranges. They happily paid £40 to watch Gibraltar so will no dounbt pay £60 to watch a good team would be the SFA's attitude.
  19. Surely we should offer to help out the England Great Britain team by offering Kris Boyd and Bill Stark
  20. Anyone else remeber the media telling us not to worry about team GB becoming regular as it was a one off for London they are just desperate to get Bale in their team so they think they can win something, England are shite like the rest of us time their media delt with it
  21. Prices - Many of the fans of the past can't afford to go means games have not sold out empty spaces always affects the atmosphere Lack of Songs - We only have a hand full of songs these days more songs means more singing Poor team - for the Burley / Levein years we have had nothing to sing about it's very easy to sing if you are winning harder when you are losing No Hampden - Like or dislike Hampden the fact it is our home means people will head to the same section every time with the hard core generlly in the North leading the atmosphere, take the same people and move to Ibrox or Celic Park and these people will pick different stands and be scattered around the ground, it is easier to get a song going if the whole section is willing to join in. There is nothing we can do about the prices unless the $FA change their ways but the others can be changed, get a winning team with a full Hampden and it will be bouncing like 07, new songs come from actually having something to sing about and for a lot of years we have played poor football i'm actually amazed we get the crowds we do after the negative rubbish Avril played.
  22. Marshall - 7. Safe at the back as always and dealt with McGeady's chance but distribution could be better Whittaker - 6. Had a reasonable game with no major mistakes in an unfamiliar role for Scotland Martin - 7. Comfortable at the back and lead the line well Hanley - 6. Dealt well with the Irish long ball tactics slightly rash at times Robertson - 8. Looks like he has played at the top level for years gave McGeady nothing Brown - 7. Quieter game for Brown than normal but partnered Mulgrew well and helped to control the midfield Mulgrew - 9. MOTM didn't put a foot wrong the only thing he didn't do was score a goal. Naismith - 8. Chased and harassed the Irish line from the first minute and won a lot of balls in the air great link up between Fletcher and the midfield Maloney - 9. Great goal to win it looked hungry only outshone by Mulgrew Anya - 6. Quiet game against Coleman but his pace forced Coleman back limiting the Irish attack on that side S Fletcher - 6. Link up play was good but no end product really needs to start scoring C Martin - 3. Should've scored and if he keeps missing chances like that will soon find others ahead of him D Fletcher - n/a.
