John From Aberdeen On Morning Call
Khana Lagur replied to Doric's topic in Anything Goes - Other topics not covered elsewhere
Heard one of the calls. Sounds like 'John' who works for BT and gets free phone calls from any PCP or SCP in the UK. C'mon John, use your time productively, start running a premium rate hotline form an exchange and join the Tory rich. Oh, wait a minute... -
Opposition Debate
Khana Lagur replied to Clyde1998's topic in Anything Goes - Other topics not covered elsewhere
It's not selfishness that drives it, it's default cognisance. Indy and socialism are 2 very different trains of political and (more importantly) human thought - surely you can see that. Maybe the reason socialism fails to bite is because lefty politicos confuse it with social justice and try and sell it as such. I've known more hard core capitalists with a genuine social conscience than pretentious left-leaning Guardian readers. -
Polls

Can't agree with that. Your general point is valid but it fails to recoginse how humans think. Extend the principle and you'll understand why socialism can't ever work (the latter point is a general one & not aimed at your particular response. But I know who'll bite first ), -
Never been a whisky drinker. It's ####in' yuk! - let's be honest. Only time I've ever swallowed the stuff was when I had an unlimited platinum Amex to takes mugs (sorry, clients) to NY's strips joints and had to pretend to like the stuff.

You're First Scotland Match. What Age We You And What Was The Score

Well, I consider myself spoiled. As a middle aged khunt I had the privilege of my first Scotland game being the 2-1,defeat of Czechoslovakia in 1973. Jordan - that goal. The crowd. The atmosphere. It's NEVER been so good again (IMO). The following 20 or so years gave me the impression that Scotland would always be there - that we were a good (even great) team. The 20 years after that showed otherwise. It's the hope that kills us. Qatar? Seriously? FFS! -
Sturgeon Backs Cameron?

I wouldn't be surprised if it emerges that big dope Carmichael's grubby fingerprints are all over this. Apparently he was at the meeting (French claim on TV today) and let's not forget he won't have forgotten the battering Nicola gave him in the indy TV debate. So I wouldn't put it past Carmichael to try and muddy the waters by possibly whispering in an ear and suggesting we can maybe say this, that or anything we want and blame it on 'translation'. We are dealing with desperate people here. -
Gff Saying Game Could Be Behind Closed Doors
Khana Lagur replied to wanderer's topic in Georgia v Scotland
So the GFF president hints at something that's pure conjecture and he has the TA doing the mitigation lobbying for him. Brilliant. -
Poor old Coe the Khunt - must be in tears.

There was a Georgian fan invaded the pitch the last time we played there in 2007. Can't these guys sit (stand) in peace? -
After A Bit Of Advice
Khana Lagur replied to daddybuc16's topic in Anything Goes - Other topics not covered elsewhere
There's an element of truth in this but the law has moved on in many respects in recent times. But I'd probably still agree divorce is stacked against men. What you go into a marriage with you keep if you come out of it. It's only a division of the acquired assets during the marriage or any increase in value of a previously owned asset, such as a house that's in one partner's name only, that get's split. What adds difficulty to divorce settlements is kids and common law living before the marriage. Strange coincidence, but I was sitting next to a Scottish family law lawyer coming back from Jo'burg yesterday and she was telling me pre-nups are few and far between in Scotland (more in use in England) for reasons outlined in par 2. -
Who invented all this 'Team' GB keech anyway? Was it the donkey gobbler? None of the commentators on the TV say Team USA, Team Kenya, Team South Africa etc. So why Team GB? It's a bollox name for a pile of bollox.

Not a patch on the mad old bat that cycles round Edinburgh west end swinging a bike chain above her head to keep cars from getting too close. -
Last time in Tbilisi we had just under 1400 fans (though there were about 100 ex-pats had come up from Azerbaijan) and the 100% pick-up was at the HQ of the Georgia Football Assoc, which was next to the Lokomotiv Tbilisi stadium (it was a taxi ride away). In Skopje 2008 – we got 997 official tix but there were about 3000 supporters there. In 2013, there were about 1000 Scots fans in Skopje. This was info I got each time from the SSC staff.

Fernando Ricksen Tribute Match

Hope this goes well. A pal of mine died from MND when he was just 31, just a year after his diagnosis. It's a truly horrible disease. I've done quite a few fundraisers for MND, so really hope people respond positively and can leave all the tribal shyte aside. -
The pinnacle of an Edinburgh punk career was surely supporting Teenage Dog Orgy.

Dubh Prais Edinburgh

Dubh Prais is indeed a fine eating house But the Snax Cafe at the far end of the Meadows is better. -
Heard Goldman were planning a book-build in association with this last week. Whispers suggesting possibility Ashley will use the released funds to loan further to Rangers without the need for Ibrox and Murray Pk as security. Suggestions that he his longer-term aim is to ditch Newcastle completely make Rangers his new piggy bank. The use of Goldman to punt to institutional investors is interesting. But I don;t know this for a fact - and I don't care either.
