  1. Meryl Streep showing herself up to be quite the hypocrite, amongst other things.
  2. The intercept and democracy now for some politics
  3. Genuinely shocked he's considering not coming back . . .
  4. Aiming to start running this year. Never been a fan but I'm at my fittest since I was a kid with walking around NZ while I'm on holiday. Going to start running on the days in between the hikes, nothing extreme but being able to do 5/10k in a decent time in a few months.
  5. Agree with that. The Labour Party is full of snakes. Although Corbyn does appear to be a genuine politician, based on how he's voted in the past, not his public image via the media. Almost like Trump, there will be many throughout the Labour Party and the media who will do almost anything to make sure Corbyn isn't prime minister.
  6. Not at all. Obviously I'd rather these songs weren't a part of our society but personally I don't find them offensive.
  7. Yeah after watching that video I wouldn't consider controlled demolition a conspiracy theory. From 50 mins on, the psychology behind not wanting to even contimplate any alternative to the government theory was really interesting.
  8. Are we? By stopping people singling it as a football match? Hmm not sure. Agree to disagree on being upset or offended.
  9. Never claimed there was. Just don't see the point in getting upset or offended over certain songs that don't really mean anything in 2016.
  10. Nothing. Let them sing what they want. It's only offensive if you let it offend you.
  11. This isn't something I've spent a great deal of time looking into but came across this the other night. Worth a watch and they present a convincing alternative to what happened to the buildings.
  12. In terms of how other countries have seeked independence it was well behaved. Aye no doubt there's people from either side who with hate or bait the other, however I don't think it's naive to think its from from a small minority, the problem with social media these days that it can be heavily manipulated as well.
  13. Not necessarily a bad thing. It's up to individuals to behave accordingly. However, I think the referendum was generally very well "behaved" if that's even the right word and people living in Scotland did themselves "proud" The media and sections of politics like to talk about this "bitter divide" as a way to actually create divide and hamper democracy and political engagement.
  14. This. Watching it helps legitimise QT and the BBC as a credible news / politics source.
  15. Celtic wish they could be the plastic club City and Chelsea now are.
  16. What I'm struggling with is why clubs wouldn't have did more to report what was going on? These aren't important people they've essentially protected, not like politicians etc . ..
  17. Education should start and end at home anyway. Schools only teach you the basics and not to question things.
  18. Tax breaks to businesses? Revolutionary Obviously likely to be popular with voters, especially those directly affected but unlikely sustainable or something to be replicated on a wider scale. Not a specific criticism of Trump. Not one person can reverse globalisation for the benefits of the US population.
