  1. Cool it, PS. You of all people know how this works.
  2. I do not. Cept Mod 18 he is still a kent. Don't disagree with that.
  3. Gosh. We picked you up wrongly. Sorry. Glad you've not left.
  4. Hello, saintmidden. We realise you're knew here. You might want to have a read at our board guidelines before you nominate yourself for Salesman of the Year. http://tartanarmyboard.co.uk/forum/index.php?app=forums&module=extras&section=boardrules
  5. There are a lot of SSC member's who have unsubscribed from the emails due to the nature of irrelevant (to them) content and are missing the important info as well. Something is wrong somewhere.

  7. We are amused. We (collectively) have no idea what phart is on about. We readily admit that is a reader problem. We are here to have a bit of chat, debate, a laugh - all of that stuff. We, occassionally feel that sometimes someone goes too far, or is just here to antagonise, so we feel we have to take action. While there are guidelines that we all try to work to, each Mod and Admin is free to moderate in their own style. We absolutely have no intention of "censoring" or "controllng" or any other proposed conspiracy. We don't spend too much time worrying about crossing the Is and dotting the Ts - about whether our whole moderating strategy lines up and is completely consistent. Way too much effort. We don't get it right always. We shrug and move on. The Board has been going to the dogs since the day and hour it was launched. We get that comment regularly. And yet, it still seems popular. The swear filter thing is good fun and gives us endless hours of pleasure. We really, really don't want to spend all of our time intervening. So we don't. That might appear to give rise to inconsistency - but Lo! Here is our fock garden, and we do not have a fock to give. Enjoy the board, be nice to people, don't dish out personal abuse and youd hardly know we were here. At the end of the day - other discussion boards are available.
  8. At this point we feel it would be useful to remind Board Members of some of the Board Guidelines. 1. The Administrators' and Moderators' words are final. 2. Respect your fellow board members, even when they don't deserve it! 3. Abusive language and attacks on members of a personal nature will be acted against. 7. “Trolling”, deliberate mis-use or inflammatory posting is not tolerated. 19. In the event of any doubt, refer to Rule 1. Anyone deemed to breach the above rules and guidelines can expect a cooling-off period in the sin-bin, (yellow card), or a full ban from future posting, (red card). Bans are normally used as a last resort, but will be invoked when necessary to preserve the reputation of this board and the reputation of the wider Tartan Army.
  9. We don't normally speak about private conversations, but I'll make an exception in this case. I initiated a Private Conversation with ek_celt by sending this:- "You posted "so it seems the mods are complicit." 1. We're not aware of you reporting anyone. 2. If we were, we would not be discussing it with anyone. Please retract." I later sent this:- "OK - I missed that report But the post that you quoted has nothing to do with us. I think someone is adding two plus two. We do NOT discuss reportings outwith our little group. And the person you quoted is NOT part of the Admin/Mod team." Later still, I sent this:- "It would appear that the Mods and Admin that did see your report felt no need to take any action. The board is none the better for people making completely unsubstantiated claims about "leaks" from the Mod/Admin team." I'm not aware of how or why "forgot" came into the conversation. I did not adopt "radio silence". The Mod/Admin team did not have a meeting and decide to adopt "radio silence". What happened was - I went to bed.
  10. Rather than responding to an abusive post by doing likewise and posting your own abusive post, please report it. And let the Mod/Admin team deal with it. The offending post in this instance has been noted.
  11. Having received notice of a reported post, I can confirm that we've decided to take no action.
  12. No separate politics forum is needed. We've had this discussed before. It is difficult to separate politics out from everyday life and other threads in other forums would have political content too.
  13. The last thread got locked to save me from the bureaucracy of several bannings. WeeBarry may or not may not have been at the wind up, but all of the things he posted can be found on the board. Now, if you want to discuss - carry on. Personal abuse will be stamped on.
