  1. I am a wee bit concerned that so many folk seem to think that the SNP have already won 40 or 50 seats based on not much more than a few opinion polls. I still think the SNP will win no more than 15 to 20 seats. And that would be an excellent achievement. I really hope I am wrong. These opinion polls will encourage Scottish Tories to get out and use their vote tactically. They will turn out in huge numbers, just like they did in the referendum. If it was a normal election turnout of 60-65% them maybe the SNP would get this landslide but I think the turnout will be close to the referendum turnout and the Tories will do whatever they need to, to try and stop the SNP. I also think the Tories will win the general election. All this vitriolic anti Scottish stuff in the MSM will be enough to scare the English into voting Tory to make sure they don't end up being ruled by a bunch of uppity Jocks.
  2. I can see the possibility of a second question being added to the in out EU referendum. Should the UK leave the EU? While we are at it, should we also tell those horrible Jock bastards to fuk off as well?
  3. Why don't they just send in some special forces and let all the wind out of their tyres?
  4. He lives in Dundee. where it's not uncommon for kids to give their parents STDs.
  5. At least we can take comfort from the fact that it never happens on the TAMB.
  6. A lot of folk I speak to seem to think he is called "That Alex Salmond".
  7. The Tory changes to the state pension being introduced in 2016 are also starting to look like another way of taking money off pensioners (mibee?). They say it's to simplify it into a single tier pension. By "simplify" they mean "make so complicated that even financial advisers can't understand it". I have read some stuff which says folk who contracted out of SERPS/second state pension will be better off under the new system and some stuff saying they will be worse off. It's almost impossible to work out. One thing they seem to agree on, is that very few folk will be on the standard £145 a week. It will be near impossible for pensioners to work out if they are getting the correct entitlement unless they have a degree in applied maths.

  9. make sure you let it cool down before rubbing it on though.
  10. As Lamia says, it's the old divide and conquer strategy. Get all the poor folk at the bottom running around arguing with each other and fighting for the scraps that the super wealthy so generously allow us to have. It helps them to distract our attention away from what the real issues are. The ever increasing wealth gap between rich and poor just gets bigger and bigger.
  11. Eh???? You mean the same LibDems who have kept them Tory bastardos in power for the last 5 years?
  12. I will have no sympathy for Scottish Tories until they disassociate themselves from those evil self serving parasites at Westminster. If they want to convince me that they are different from them, then they should form their own party with their own policies which don't constantly punish the poorest folk in our society.
  13. They already have. Hasn't been reported by MSM funnily enough. http://wingsoverscotland.com/scottish-labours-new-policy-vote-tory/
  14. If you and other taxpayers are not going to pay for those pensions then who is? Do you think that governments (local and UK) should just say to pensioners "Sorry there is no money left so you are not getting your pension any more"? Pensions are part of the re-numeration package agreed between employer and employee and, to lots of folk, is just as important as the salary which goes with the job. A lot of folk decide to stay in a job with a lower salary, than they could get elsewhere, because the pension scheme is important to them. It would be like saying " We think we have paid you too much for that job you have been doing for the last 30 years so you need to give us £100,000 back". Are you in a pension scheme? Who do you think is going to pay for your pension?
  15. Totally agree. The folk who moan about other folks pensions are usually just doing so out of a mixture of jealousy and ignorance. They clearly don't understand how pensions work. Nobody gives folk a pension just out of the kindness of their hearts. Every single penny has to be earned.
  16. It's not really though, is it? It's just total nonsense. If the polls are right (which I doubt very much) then any party with about 40 seats in a hung parliament can't possibly be irrelevant. Unless of course we have a ConLab coalition.
  17. Not sure this is the right place for this but it is about llocal government finance. http://wingsoverscotland.com/this-is-how-you-tell-a-lie/
  18. Do you think he knows the story about the little Dutch boy?
  19. I thank you sir for making the effort. 10,000 posts and I've finally manage to produce a wee snigger. I feel very proud tonight.
